2003 Report

"What we have achieved in 2003 "

  • Two St. Brigid's Senior teams in County Football and Hurling finals.

  • Securing our first ever Dublin Senior Football Championship 

  • Going on to win the Leinster Club Football Championship with some scintillating displays.

  • A great win by our Junior footballers in the C Championship and winning their League.

  • Our Junior A's lost by a point to Lucan Sarsfields in the Junior A Championship .

  • Junior A hurlers promoted to Intermediate status .

  • Minor hurlers showed the depth of  talent we have at that level by winning the Dublin Minor Hurling championship for the first time and also winning their League.

  • The Under 16 Footballers won the Dublin Championship.

  • Eoin Kennedy was awarded the Vodaphone GAA All-Star Handball award for his heroics in Handball .

  • Four Blue Stars in Hurling

  • Eight Blue Stars in Football.

  • Five representatives in this year's Dublin Ladies Football team who reached the All-Ireland Final .

  • Declan Lally and John Noonan who won Under 21 medals with Dublin this year.

  • Michael Galvin won Dublin   Player of the Year.

  • Danielle Powell and Katie Murphy on the Dublin Under 14 Camogie team.

  • We acquired 7 acres in the Phoenix Park Racecourse.

  • Continuing to negotiate a long term permanent lease for Beech Park.

  • Our "Car Draw " was a huge success , with many prizes going locally.

  • Our own Football, Hurling and Camogie Summer camps which ran for 5 weeks during the summer under the expert guidance of Rory Gallagher was a fantastic success.

  • Our Juvenile  Development Coach, Rory Gallagher who had done trojan work both in the local schools and in the Club changed job in September of this year . We are actively seeking a replacement.

  • New development plans for an All-weather pitch with floodlighting are in the pipeline.

  • The Nursery section has been a tremendous success and meets every Saturday morning from 10.30-11.30 a.m.

  • Ladies Football has been a hive of activity with numbers increasing .

  • The Draoicht  Production .

  • St. Brigid's "Santas", the Alter Ego's  and Bridgie  3 .
