April 2006 Clubnotes - Week 1 - Tue, 4 Apr 2006

Hard Luck to Eoin Kennedy who was edged out by Paul Brady in the All-Ireland 40 * 20 Singles Final last Saturday.Best of Luck to Eoin & Na Fianna?s Egin Jenson as they defend their All-Ireland Doubles Title this Saturday in Moycullen versus Tom Brady & Michael Finnegan of Cavan. Eoin & Egin are the 3rd game on with the 1st game starting at 4.30pm. Very Important Notice Regarding Club Membership, Players must have paid their membership by April 7th or else they cannot play. New opening hours for the club Hurling Shop. The shop will open every Thursday evenings from 7.30pm to 8.30pm. Best of Luck to the U21 Footballers versus Kilmacud Crokes this Saturday at 1.30pm in O'Toole Park in the U21 Championship Semi-Final. Camogie Section Annual Crazy Bingo takes place this Sunday at 3pm in Russell Park. Congrats to Alan Nolan who made his Senior Debut for the Dublin Senior Hurlers on Sunday. Well done to the Dublin Colleges Hurling team on reaching the All-Ireland Final. Fine wins for the Senior & Junior C Footballers over the weekend. Club Mentors Night will take place on Saturday April 8th. Live Music & Great craic guaranteed. Club Benefit Night will takes place on April 22nd. Tickets are €10 Euro & available from the club bar. Congrats to the U21 Footballers who reached the Championship Final after turning in a superb performance to defeat Kilmacud Crokes. Well done to all & the best of Luck in the Final where they will face St Judes or Thomas Davis. Club Mentors Night was a massive success with everyone enjoying a great nights entertainment. A Big Thank you to everyone who helped out. New opening hours for the club Hurling Shop. The shop will open every Thursday evening from 7.30pm to 8.30pm. Fine wins for the Junior A Hurlers who defeated Whitehall & the Junior C Hurlers who defeated St Oliver Plunkett's over the weekend. All roads lead to the Naul this Saturday when the Senior A Footballers take on the Senior B Footballers in the Championship 1st Round. Throw in at 3.30pm. Best of Luck to the U16 Footballers in their Championship Semi-Final this Saturday versus St Vincent?s. The time & venue have yet to be announced so please check the club website for further details later in the week. Get out there & give the lads the support they deserve. Club Benefit Night will take place this Saturday in Russell Park. Tickets are ?10 Euro & available from the club bar. The Clash of the 2 Junior 1 Sides takes place this Sunday at 11am in Russell Park. Congrats to Darragh Henry who scored 0-2 in the U12 Northside win over the Southside in the Kevin Aherne Memorial Cup on Easter Saturday. New opening hours for the club Hurling Shop. The shop will open every Thursday evening from 7.30pm to 8.30pm. Fine wins for the Senior A, Senior B, Junior B and Junior C Footballers in League action last week. Congrats to the U16 Footballers on their superb Championship Victory over St Vincent's after Extra-Time. They now face Kilmacud Crokes in the Final. The Final has been provisionally set for Monday May 1st. Please check the club website for further details. Well done to Paddy Andrews on his superb performances for Ireland in the U17 Aussie Rules Tests. A Big thank-you to everyone who helped make the club benefit night such a success. A great crowd turned out for the two club clashes over the weekend with the Senior 1 Footballers defeating the Senior 2 Footballers while the Junior B Footballers prevailed in a tight clash over the Junior A Footballers. The U14 girls Feile competition is on next Friday & Saturday in Russell Park. Please come along and support the girls. Club Lotto Jackpot is €12600 this Thursday in The Roselawn Inn.
