January 2006 Clubnotes - Week 3 - Tue, 24 Jan 2006

Hard Luck to the Senior Hurlers who lost to Faughs in the Championship Final.You have done the club proud. Keep the heads up; we are back in the "A" Championship. Well done to the Junior 2 Footballers who defeated Bank of Ireland to reach the Promotion Final where they await Whitehall or St Peregrines. Congrats to Maria McCarthy who was awarded Dublin Handballer of the Year. Well done & a big thank you for all your hard work in the club. Well done to the Inter Footballers who defeated Templeogue to reach the Promotion Play-off Final where they will play St Pats on Sunday at 12.30 in The Naul. The Junior 8 Footballers face Whitehall this Sunday at 11.00 in Collinstown Lane (Parnells Ground) in the League Title Play-Off. Best of Luck to all. Club Mass for deceased members will take place Wednesday Febraury 1st at 7.30pm in Russell Park. Support your club. Joe Dolan is back in town. Joe will play the Club on Saturday March 4th. Nursery has resumed. Hurling Nursery takes place on Friday evenings from 6pm in Russell Park. Football Nursery takes place on Saturday mornings from 10am in Russell Park. Player re-grading season is the 1st - 30th January 2006 with a closing time on the 30th at 7.00pm. Further details available from club website. Annual Club Membership is due also.

Hard Luck to the Junior 1 Footballers who were narrowly defeated by Erin's Isle in the Promotion Play-off Final. Keeps the Heads Up. Well done to the Senior Hurlers who defeated Cuala to reach the Senior Hurling Championship Final where they will play Faughs on Sunday. Please check the Club Website for further details. Support your club. Best of Luck to the Intermediate Footballers this Wednesday against Sygne Street in the Promotion Play-off Semi-Final. Throw-in at 8pm in Ballymun. Joe Dolan is back in town. Happy New Year to all members & the Best of Luck to all teams this Year. A Good win for the Inter Footballers over St Margarets to reach the Promotion Play-off Semi-Finals. Big weekend ahead with several important games. The Senior Hurlers face Cuala in the Senior Hurling Championship Semi-Final at 2.30pm in O'Toole Park. The Junior 1 footballers are one game away from Intermediate Football this Sunday when they face Erins Isle at 11.00 in Cloghran. The U21 Hurlers are due to face Na Fianna in the U21 Championship at 1pm in Islandbridge this Saturday. The Junior 8 Footballers are also due to face Whitehall in the League Title Play-off this Sunday at 12.30 in Clonshaugh. Please check the Club Website for further details on the U21 & Junior 8 Matches because both teams have several Senior Hurlers in their teams & as a result, both games may not go ahead. Club Lotto will resume on January 26th with a Jackpot of €10000. Support your club. Replica Pat O Donnell Jersey's are now available from the club hurling shop. Well done to the Inter Footballers who defeated St Pats to be promoted to Senior Football next year. A Great achievement, winning the Loving Cup, the Championship & being promoted to Senior Football. Hard Luck to the Junior 8 Footballers who were edged out by Whitehall in the League Title decider. The Junior 8's will be back out this Sunday in the Play-Off Semi-Final versus St Thomas's in Starlights at 11.00. Best of Luck to the Junior 2 Footballers who face St Pregrines in the Promotion Final this Sunday in Balgriffin at 11.00. Club Mass for deceased members will take place this Wednesday at 7.30pm in Russell Park. A Historic Day lies ahead this Saturday when An Taoiseach Bertie Ahern will turn the sod on Phase One of the Development at 2pm. A Big thank you to everyone who has contributed so far. Keep up the good work. All-Ireland winning Cork Captain Sean Og O'Halplian will be in the club with the Liam McCarthy Cup this Saturday at 7.30pm to present Juvenile's with their medals.
