June 2006 Clubnotes - Week 1 - Tue, 6 Jun 2006

Summer Mini Leagues Festival Registration takes place this Wednesday from 7pm to 8pm in Russell Park, Laurel Lodge Community Centre and Blanchardstown Community Centre The Festival takes place from June 19th to June 22nd with the Finals being played on Saturday June 24th. Please note that Russell Park cannot be used for training or matches during this period. Juvenile Meeting tonight at 8.30pm in Russell Park. Best of Luck to the Junior B & C Footballers in Championship Action this weekend. The Junior B's take on St Vincents at 12.30 in Russell Pk this Sunday while the Junior C's take on Trinity Gaels at 3pm in Father Collins Pk. Support your club. Club Golf Classic was a great success with everyone enjoying a great day & night. Club Lotto Jackpot is a massive 13800 this Thursday in Russell Park. Fine wins for the Junior A & Junior C Hurlers while the Minor Footballers defeated Kilmacud Crokes. Congrats to Eoin Kennedy who defeated Michael Gregan to reach the All-Ireland Semi-Finals where he will face Michael Walsh. Well done to Alan Daly & Seamus Bonner who lined out for the Dublin Junior's in their Victory over Wexford in the Championship. Congrats to the Kevin, Peader, Barry, Declan, Graham & the Dubs in the vicytory over Longford.

June 2006 Clubnotes - Week 2 - Tue, 13 Jun 2006

Congrats to Eoin Kennedy who defeated Michael 'Duxie' Walsh 21-20, 21-16 to line up an All-Ireland Senior Singles Final showdown with Meath?s Tom Sheridan. The Final will take place on Sept 2nd. The long break is to facilitate the World Championships in Canada. Fine Championship wins for the Junior B Footballers over St Vincents and the Junior C Footballers over Trinity Gaels. Best of Luck to Alan Daly & Seamus Bonner as they line out for the Dublin Juniors this Wednesday versus Louth in Parnell Park. The Junior Footballers travelled to Ballinskelligs Co Kerry for the June Bank Holiday with St Michaels/Foilmore providing the opposition. It was a thoroughly enjoyable weekend for all & a Big Thank You to Chris Lynam for organising the trip. Club Lotto Jackpot is a massive €14000 this Thursday in The Vineyard. Support your club. The Club Shop is open every Thursday evening from 7.30pm to 8.30pm.

June 2006 Clubnotes - Week 3 - Tue, 20 Jun 2006

Please note that Russell Park will be unavailable to train in or play any matches on from this Monday to Saturday due to the Summer Mini Leagues Festival. The Mini Leagues start at 6pm each evening. Congrats to Eoin Kennedy & Egin Jenson who defeated Michael 'Duxie' Walsh & Eammon Law of Kilkenny to reach the All-Ireland Senior Doubles Final. The Final will take place on Sept 16th. Fine wins for the Junior C Footballers over Round Towers and the Junior A Hurlers over O'Tooles. Best of Luck to Alan Nolan and the Dublin U21 Hurlers in Championship action this Wednesday at 8pm versus Offaly in Parnell Park. Also, Best of Luck to Declan, Peader, Barry, Graham, Kevin & the Dubs this Sunday versus Laois. Big Night ahead on Friday July 7th, when the New Sprinturf All Weather Pitch is opened. There is also a Gala BBQ & Medal Presenation evening. The night kicks off at 9pm. Tickets are €20 & available from the club bar. Club Lotto Jackpot is a massive €14200 this Thursday in Russell Park. Support your club. The Club Shop is open every Thursday evening from 7.30pm to 8.30pm.

Club Mini Leagues were a fine success with a massive turnout. A Big thank you to Declan McCarthy & his team for their successful organisation of the event. Well done to the to Alan Nolan & the Dublin U21 Hurlers on their fine win over Offaly in the Leinster Semi-Final. They will face Kilkenny in the Leinster Final on July 19th. Fine wins for the Senior & Junior A Hurlers over the weekend. Well done to the Dubs on their fine win over Laois. Big Night ahead on Friday July 7th, when the New Sprinturf All Weather Pitch is opened. There is also a Gala BBQ & Medal Presenation evening. The night kicks off at 9pm.
