May 2006 Clubnotes - Week 5 - Tue, 30 May 2006

A great weekend on the Hurling Front. The Senior Hurlers turned in a superb display to defeat Kilmacud Crokes in the Championship. The Junior A Hurlers edged out Lucan Sarsfields by a point while the Junior C Hurlers fought hard for a one-point victory over Liffey Gaels. Club Golf Classic takes place this Friday in Royal Tara Golf Club. This is a four-player team event, contact 087-239-7976 for more information. Entertainment will also be provided in the Club on the Friday Night along the Prize Giving Ceremony. All members are welcome to attend a great night's entertainment. Summer Mini Leagues Festival takes place from June 19th to June 22nd with the Finals being played on Saturday June 24th. Age groups are U6, U8 and U10 & U12. Registration will take place on Wednesday June 7th for the Mini League Festival from 7pm to 8pm in Russell Park, Laurel Lodge Community Centre and Blanchardstown Community Centre. Entry is only 10 Euro per child or 20 Euro per family. Contact 087-917-5916 for more information. Club Lotto Jackpot is a massive €13600 this Thursday in Russell Park. Support your club. Club Race Night was a great success. A large crowd attended & enjoyed a great nights entertainment. A big thank-you to everyone who helped make this event such a success. Congrats to the U14 Hurling Team who turned in a superb display to defeat St Kevins to win the Dublin Feile. Well done to coaches Phelim Kelly, Eammon & John Dunning. Also, a big thank you to everyone who supported the team. Hard Luck to the U21 Footballers who were edged out by St Jude's in the Championship Final after extra-time. Well done to Paddy Andrews who turned in a superb display for the Dublin Minors in their victory over Westmeath in the Leinster Quarter-Final. Club Development Race Night takes place this Friday from 8.30pm. A great night's entertainment guaranteed. Fine wins for the Junior B Footballers over Man O War & Ladies Junior Footballers over Raheny. Congrats to St Brigids NS Castleknock who had a fantastic week in Croke Park winning both the Camogie and Hurling finals in the Cumann Na Mbunscoil. Congrats to the U14 Camogie Team who turned in a superb display to defeat Setanta to win the Dublin Feile. A Big Thank you to everyone who supported the team. The U21 Footballers Championship Final versus St Jude's was postponed at the request of the Dublin Minor Football Team Management. Congrats to the Dublin College's on winning the All-Ireland College's Title. Hard Luck to the U16 Footballers who lost out to Kilmacud in the Championship Final. Good wins for the Junior A Hurlers over St Thomas's & Crumlin. Also, a fine win for the Junior C Hurlers over Clontarf in the Championship. Russell Park hosts the U14 Hurling Feile this weekend. The U14 Hurlers play their games at 10.45, 11.45, 12.45 & 3.30 on Saturday. Get out there & give the lads the support they deserve. Club Development Race Night will take place on Friday May 19th. A great night's entertainment guaranteed. Best of Luck to the Senior 2 Footballers who face Thomas Davies in the Championship tonight at 7.15pm in Bohernabreena. Hard Luck to the U14 Girls who were edged out by Ballyboden in the Dublin Feile Final. Also, hard luck to the U14 Boys who performed brilliantly to reach the Feile Final but were defeated by St Thomas?s. Well done to both teams on reaching the Finals. Congrats to Alan Nolan & the Dubs Hurlers who won the Division 2 Hurling League Title. Best of luck to the U14 Camogie team in Feile Competition in Balliteer St. Johns on Saturday May 6th. First match at 1.00pm. All support welcome. Best of Luck to the U21 Footballers in the Championship Final this Sunday versus St Judes. Throw-in at 5.30pm in Parnell Park. Get out there & give the lads the support they deserve. Race Night will take place in the Club on Friday May 12th. All are welcome for this Enoyable Night. Best of Luck to the Senior Hurlers as they start off their Championship campaign against Naomh Mearnog this Thursday at 7.15pm in Broomfield.
