September 2006 Clubnotes - Week 4 - Tue, 26 Sep 2006

Congrats to the Junior B Footballers who advanced to the Junior Championship Final defeating St Marks. Also a fine win for the Minor Hurlers over Raheny in the Championship. Best of Luck to the Junior Hurlers in their Championship Semi-Final this Sunday at 5pm versus St Marks in Blakestown. Get up there & give the lads the support they deserve. Club Lotto takes place this Thursday in The Roselawn Inn & the Jackpot is still a massive €15000. Last Friday saw the Club lose former Chairman Joe Teirnan who sadly passed away. Our deepest sympathies are extended to his Family on their loss.

September 2006 Clubnotes - Week 3 - Tue, 19 Sep 2006

Congrats to Eoin Kenendy & Egin Jenson of Na Fianna who retained their All-Ireland Doubles Title. Well done to Shona Barrett, Noelle Healy, Enya Farrell & the Dublin U16 Ladies Footballers who defeated Cork to be crowned All Ireland Champions. Congrats to Martin Cahill, Jason Ward, Naill Coyne & Martin Prior on winning the FBD All-Ireland Club Golf Challenge on behalf of St Brigids. Senior Footballers in Championship Action this Wednesday vs St Vincents at 8.30pm in Parnell Park. The Junior B Footballers face St Marks in their Championship Semi-Final this Saturday in O'Toole Park at 2.30pm. A Presentation Night for Club Coach Tom Broderick will take place this Thursday from 9pm. Tom is leaving to further his studies. A Big thank you for all his hard work. Well done to the Junior C Hurlers who defeated St Judes in the Championship. They now face St Marks in the Semi-Final. Hard Luck to the Minor B & Junior C Footballers who were narrowly defeated in their Championship games. Club Lotto takes place this Thursday in Russell Park & the Jackpot is still a massive €15000. Our deepest sympathies are extended to the Hughes, Garland and Fitzpatrick families on their recent losses.

Best of Luck to Eoin Kennedy & Egin Jenson versus Barry Goff & Gavin Buggy of Wexford in the All-Ireland Doubles Final this Saturday from 4.30pm in Croke Park. Get into Croke Park & Give Eoin the support he deserves. Best of luck to Shona Barrett, Noelle Healy and Enya Farrell who are in the U16 Dublin Ladies All Ireland Final against Cork this Saturday in Cashel at 2.30pm. Please support the girls. Well done to the Minor B Footballers who defeated St Monica's to reach the Championship Semi-Finals. The Junior B Hurlers drew with St Judes in their Championship Q-Final with the replay expected to take place this Saturday. Please check the website for further updates. Hard Luck to the Junior A Hurlers & Senior Camogie Team who were edged out in their Championship Q-Finals. Club Score Forecast competition for the All-Ireland Football Final is currently being run. Forecast Card's can be obtained from the Club Bar or from John Fleming.

Congrats to Eoin Kennedy who fought back from one game down & 18-17 down to defeat Tom Sheridan of Meath 19-21, 21-19, 21-5 in a thrilling All-Ireland Final. Well done to the U12 Hurlers who defeated Na Fianna to win the Division 1 Camaint Final. Fine wins for the Junior A Footballers over Naomh Barrog & the Junior B Footballers who defeated St Maurs to progress to the Championship Semi-Final's. Best of Luck to our 2 Junior Hurling Teams in Championship Quarter-Final action this weekend. The Junior A Hurlers face Whitehall this Sunday at 12.30 in O'Toole Park while the Junior B Hurlers face St Judes or Na Fianna this Sunday at 4.30pm in Blakestown. Also, best of Luck to the Senior Camogie Team who face Ballinteer St Johns in the Championship Q-Final this Saturday at 6pm in Russell Park. Support your club.
