June 2007 Clubnotes - Week 4 - Tue, 26 Jun 2007

Club Mini Leagues suffered an early setback on Wednesday being washed out but Declan and his team soon got the show back on track rescheduling the lost day for Friday. A large crowd turned out on Saturday for the Finals. A big thank to everybody involved. Fine League win for the Senior Hurlers versus Commercials. Lotto Jackpot is now 5000 with the draw taking place in The Roselawn Inn this Thursday. Well done to Aodhan McInerney & the Dublin Minor Hurlers on their Victory over Wexford on Saturday and now will face Kilkenny in the Leinster Final this Sunday at 12.30 in Croke Park. Best of Luck to Alan Nolan and the Dublin Senior Hurlers versus Cork this Saturday in Parnell Park in the Qualifiers 1st Round. Well done to Barry, Declan, Graham, Kevin & the Dubs on reaching the Leinster Final.

Congrats to Eoin Kennedy who set another mark in Irish handball history when he won his fourth senior singles hardball title in 5 years. In an exciting final at Mullingar, Eoin defeated Meath's Tom Sheridan 9-21, 21-10, 21-12. 75th Anniversary Night was a fine success & a big thank to everyone who helped organise the event. Best of Luck to Barry, Declan, Graham, Kevin & the Dubs this Sunday versus Offaly. Fine League Wins for the Senior Footballers over Na Fianna & Intermediate Footballers over Erin's Isle. Senior 2 Footballers also progressed in the Championship defeating Lucan. Hard Luck to the Junior A & B Footballers who went down narrowly in the Championship. Summer Mini-Leagues Fixtures & Team Lists are now available from the club web-site. Mentors, please be aware that all pitches in Russell Park are fully booked for the Mini Leagues from 6pm-9pm this Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday from 12-6pm for the Finals. Club Shop is is open this Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday for the Mini-Leagues. Lotto Jackpot is now 4800 with the draw taking place in Russell Park this Thursday.

This Saturday sees players from the 70's & 80's come back to the club for night of reminiscence, craic agus ceoil. Everyone is welcome to join us in these celebrations. Several important Football Championship games this week with the Junior A Footballers facing St James Gaels tonight at 8pm in Russell Park. The Senior 2 Footballers take on Lucan at 8pm this Thursday in Blakestown. The Junior B Footballers face St Vincents Away on Sunday at 10.30. Best of Luck to Barry, Declan, Graham, Kevin & the Dubs this Sunday versus Meath. Please be aware if the Dubs win on Sunday, they will be playing the following Sunday so the ticket book will go in by the Monday or Tuesday. Fine League Win for the Junior Hurlers over Finbars. Summer Mini-Leagues Fixtures & Team Lists are now available from the club web-site(http://www.stbrigidsgaa.com). Mentors, please be aware that all pitches in Russell Park are fully booked for the Mini Leagues from 6pm-9pm on Monday 18th, Tuesday 19th, Thursday 21st & Saturday 23rd from 12-6pm for the Finals. Club Shop is Open from 7pm-8pm tonight & Wednesday night this week. The Shop is also open the Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday of the Mini-Leagues. Lotto Jackpot is now 4600 with the draw taking place in Russell Park this Thursday.

Ticket Book for the Dublin versus Meath Replay on Sunday June 17th closes this Tuesday.Last Thursday saw our Junior Footballers produce a fine performance to win the Junior Football Championship defeating Man O War. Well done to all. Hard Luck to the Senior Footballers who went down narrowly to Ballymun in the Vincent de Paul Final. Fine League wins for our Inter Footballers over O'Dwyer's & Junior B's over Garristown. Congrats to the Roselawn Inn team who won the Club Golf Classic last Friday. A big thank-you to everyone who helped organise this very successful event. Next 75th Anniversary Event to remember the teams of the 70's & 80's will take place on Saturday June 16th. Have you registered for the Summer Mini-Leagues taking place Monday 18th June to Saturday 24th June for U-6, U-8, U-10 and U-12 age groups. If not, Contact Declan McCarthy on 087 9175916.
