March 2007 Clubnotes - Week 4 - Tue, 27 Mar 2007 Best of Luck to Eoin Kennedy who faces Paul Brady in the All-Irleand 40*20 Final this Saturday at 5pm in Kingscourt. Well done to Eugune Kennedy who defeated Martin Cronin to reach the All-Ireland Masters Final. Congrats to Alan Nolan & the Dublin Senior Hurlers on another fine win. Well done to Barry Cahill & Kevin Bonner who helped the Dubs defeat Fermanagh. Congrats to Oisin Galvin, Stephen McClean, Ken Donnelly and Conor Timoney who won the Dublin Community Handball Games. Best of Luck to the U16 Footballers in their Championship Semi-Final versus St Finian's this Saturday at 3.30 in Russell Park. As we celebrate our 75th year, we plan to commemorate this great milestone with a number of sporting and social events. Our next event will take place on Saturday 21st April whereby we starting at the very beginning - and inviting teams from the 1950's and 1960's back to the club for night of reminiscence, craic agus ceoil. Everyone is welcome to join us in these celebrations. More details will be available in the coming weeks on the website & notes. Fine wins for the Minor Hurlers over Kilmacud Crokes & the U15 Hurlers over Cuala. Good Football League wins for the Intermediates over Naomh Mearnog, Junior A's over Naomh Olaf & the Junior B's over Scoil Ui Chonaill. Well done to the U10's, U11's & U12's who togged out in Parnell Park at half time during the Dubs game. Our deepest sympathies are extended to the Smith & O'Neill families on their recent loss. Club Lotto draw takes place this Thursday in The Roselawn Inn & the Jackpot is still a massive 15000 Euro. March 2007 Clubnotes - Week 3 - Tue, 20 Mar 2007 Congrats to Eoin Kennedy who reached the FBD Nationals Final were he will face Tom Healy of Cork. The final being played yesterday on Bank Holiday Monday. Congrats to Alan Nolan & the Dublin Senior Hurling team on their National League victory over Galway. Sunday also saw Russell Park host the Dublin Ladies Footballers league clash versus Leitrim. Well done to Colleen Barrett, Shona Barrett & Noelle Healy who were part of the Dublin Panel. Busy weekend of fixtures ahead with the Senior Footballers playing St Mary's this Saturday at 4pm in Russell Park. The Senior 2's face Raheny away on Saturday at 4pm while the Intermediates face Naomh Mearnog at 4pm in Russell Pk on Saturday as well. Further fixtures will be posted on the Club website later in the week. Our deepest sympathies are extended to the O'Connor & Farnan familes on their recent losses. Christy O'Connor was a member of the 1958 Championship Winning side. With the New All Weather Pitch now in full swing, a supervised session for kids will take place every Wednesday Afternoon 2.45pm to 3.45pm. Membership is now overdue. The Minor Hurlers also had a fine win over Crumlin in their League Opener. Congrats to John Fleming & his Quiz team who finished 7th in the Leinster Scor Final last weekend. Our deepest sympathies are extended to the O'Connor & Farnan familes on their recent losses. Christy O'Connor was a member of the St Brigids 1958 Championship Winning side. Adult Hurling & Football Master Fixture Lists are now available to download from the club website. St. Brigids wish to extend deepest sympathy to the Long Family on the death of Julie, RIP. Congrats to John Fleming & his Quiz team who were crowned Dublin Scor Champions. The Joe Dolan Concert was a great success & a big thank you to everyone who helped out. Adult Hurling & Football Master Fixture Lists are now available to download from the club website.
