January 2008 Clubnotes - Week 3 - Tue, 22 Jan 2008 Club Membership Registration Day takes place this Sunday from 12-6pm in Russell Pk. All members are urged to renew their membership on Sunday. A long hard season eventually caught up on the Minor Footballers as they went down to Kilmacud Crokes in the League Final. Well done on completing the Dublin & Leinster Championship Double & enjoy your break. The Senior 2 Footballers face St Judes in a crucial relegation league play-off at 12 on Sunday in Russell Pk. Annual Club Mass will take place on Friday February 1st at 8pm. This mass will also be the Month's Mind for Margaret Doyle RIP. Medal Presentation Evening takes place for the Intermediate Footballers this Friday evening from 9.30pm. The Dublin Senior League Final between St Vincents & Plunketts is on at 8.45pm is Russell Pk so why not make an night out of it. Ladies Football referees courses to be held on 16th February, 1st March & 12th April. All girls from 16 years old and up are welcome. Good money can be made from refereeing underage matches. January 2008 Clubnotes - Week 2 - Tue, 15 Jan 2008 The Minor Footballers Captured the Leinster Title after a thrilling contest against Meath Champions Donaghmore Ashbourne. It was great to see such a large crowd at the game. Special thanks to Gerry, Liam & Declan. Best of luck to the lads as they now take on Kilmacud Crokes in a League Title decider this Sunday at 11 in Kiltipper Road. Also a big thank to Eire Og who hosted the tournament. The Senior 2 Footballers also face Templeogue Synge St in a crucial league play-off at 11 on Sunday in Dolphin Pk. All members are urged to travel. Hard Luck to the U21 Footballers who were edged out by Ballymun. Well done Declan Lally who turned in a fine performance for the Dubs versus Westmeath. Paddy Andrews also turned in a man of the match display for DCU versus Offaly in the O'Byrne Cup while Willie Bourke, Donal O'Mahony, Brian Kelly & Cian O'Mahony helped Dublin Fingal to a fine Keogh Cup win. Club Lotto resumes on Thursday January 29th. 25's card games return every Thursday in the club bar from 9pm. January 2008 Clubnotes - Week 4 - Tue, 29 Jan 2008 Annual Club Mass will take place this Friday at 8pm in Russell Pk. This mass will also be the Month's Mind for Margaret Doyle RIP. Club Membership is now due. It is very important that all members pay their membership. They will not be insured if there membership is not paid. Well done to the Senior 2 Footballers who defeated St Judes to retain their Senior League status for the coming year. A big thank you to everyone who helped steward the Dublin Senior League Final last Friday evening. Hard Luck to Brian Kelly, Willie Bourke, Cian O'Mahony who were part of the Dublin Fingal side who went down to Carlow in the Kehoe Cup. The club are holding a major fundraiser at the Punchestown Festival on Wednesday April 23rd. This will help finance Phase 2 of our development which includes a hurling wall & dressing rooms. A big thank you to everyone who helped with the refreshments for the Doyle Funeral last Thursday. It was a very sad day for the club. Our thoughts are with Sean and his Family.
