August 2008 Clubnotes - Week 4 - Tue, 26 Aug 2008

Congrats to Eoin Kennedy who qualified for the All-Ireland Singles Final after a tough semi-final encounter versus Dessie Keegan. Eoin will now face Duxie Walsh in the final on Sat, September 7th. Junior A Footballers won their Champo Semi-Final & will face St Annes in the final on Sept 13th/14th. Senior 2 Footballers also advanced to the Inter Champo Quarters defeating Garda. Junior B Footballers beat Castleknock in League. Senior Footballers had a good win over Fingallians. Senior Camogie beat Ballinteer in their Champo opener and now face St Finbarrs on Tues evening at 7pm in John Paul Pk. Senior Hurlers face Dublin North East Regional Team in Champo this Saturday at 5.30pm in Blakestown. Inter 2 Footballers have a Cup Semi-Final this Saturday at 6pm vs Ballymun in Russell Pk. Junior B Footballers face Ballyboughal at 3pm away on Sunday in Cup Semi-Final as well. Eoin Kennedy & Egin Jenson face Meath?s Tom Sheridan and Brian Carroll in their All-Ireland Doubles Semi-Final at 7pm in Mullingar this Saturday. Club Lotto resumes on Thursday September 4th.

August 2008 Clubnotes - Week 3 - Tue, 19 Aug 2008

Junior A Footballers face Parnells in their Champo Semi-Final tonight at 7pm in Westmanstown. The Senior 2 Footballers face Garda in Champo on Wednesday at 7pm in Blakestown. Senior Camogie open their Champo campaign against Ballinteer at 7pm tonight in Russell Pk. Support your club. Hard Luck to Barry Cahill, Paddy Andrews, Kevin Bonner & the Dubs on their disappointing Championship exit. Well done to Eoin Kennedy & Egin Jenson who advanced to the Semi-Finals of the All-Ireland Doubles defeating Tommy Hynes, Colin Keeling (Wexford) 21-2, 21-16. Eoin faces Dessie Keegan of Mayo in the All-Ireland Singles Semi-Final this Saturday in Croke Pk with the game starting at 6pm. Final Summer camp takes place from August Monday 25-Friday 29. August 2008 Clubnotes - Week 2 - Tue, 12 Aug 2008

A great day for Shona Barrett who captained the Dublin Ladies Minor Footballers to their All-Ireland Triumph over Monaghan last Monday. Noelle Healy turned in a great display scoring 2-3 and Enya Farrell came on as a sub. It was a great day for the club & a big thank you to everyone who helped get the girls right up from nursery level. Congrats to Sean Duignan, Martin Cahill, Cian & Domhnaill O'Mahony who won the Leinster FBD Golf Title for the 3rd year in a row. Best of Luck in the All-Ireland Final. Junior A Hurlers turned in a fine performance to defeat Castleknock to reach Champo Quarter-Finals. Best of luck to Barry Cahill, Paddy Andrews, Kevin Bonner & the Dubs this Saturday versus Tyrone in their All-Ireland Q-Final. Well done to Eoin Kennedy who advanced to the Semi-Finals of the All-Ireland Singles defeating Robert McCarthy 21-3, 21-19. The club received great news last week with a E200k government sports grant allocated for the improvement of our dressing rooms and hurling wall. This is a very welcome boost for the club and we would like to thank all involved in the preparation of the application and to all public representatives who supported the submission. Best of luck to the Junior Hurlers this Sunday as they face Castleknock in a crucial winner takes all Championship game. Throw-in at 11am in Russell Pk. Best of Luck to Eoin Kennedy this Friday as he takes on Robert McCarthy of Wexford in the All-Ireland Singles Quarter-Final in Crinkle this Friday at 8pm. Summer camp dates are as follows, July Monday 21- Friday 25, August Monday 18-Friday 22 & August Monday 25-Friday 29. Contact John Ryan on 0879047300 or Michelle on 0872250375 for bookings.
