December 2008 Clubnotes - Week 5 - Tue, 30 Dec 2008

Congrats to the U14 Handballers who captured the Dublin U14 League Final. It was an all St Brigids Final. Well done to all. The Club Executive would like to take this opportunity to wish all everyone a Happy New Year. A Big-thank to all those who have been involved with the Club over this past year, as players, mentors, volunteers and parents and we look forward to your support once again in 2009. There will be live music in the club bar on New Years Eve. Get down early for a great night. A big thank you to Mick Hanley and his team for their hard work all in 2008. The 1st Anniversary mass for Club Stalwart Margaret Doyle will be celebrated on Thursday January 1st in Blanchardstown Church at 12 o'clock. Adult Hurling & Football Regrading Forms are now available on the club website. Submission deadline is January 16th. Dublin Blue Stars takes place in Naomh Barrog on Thursday January 1st with several club players on show. A big Thank you to all who helped & contributed to the Lotto this year.

December 2008 Clubnotes - Week 4 - Tue, 23 Dec 2008

The Minor Footballers Suffered Champo Final Heartbreak losing out by a point in a pulsating replay. Well done to Na Fianna on their win. A big thank you to Gerry, Liam, Mick, Rory, John & Declan for their tremendous efforts with this team. The club bar will open from 6pm on St Stephens Night. There will be live music in the bar & a Disco in the hall. Its sure to be a great night so get down early. The Club Executive would like to take this opportunity to wish all everyone a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year. A Big-thank to all those who have been involved with the Club over this past year, as players, mentors, volunteers and parents and we look forward to your support once again in 2009. The Club Xmas Party was a massive success. A big thank you to everyone who helped out & also the generous sponsors of prizes. Club Lotto will resume in the new year. A big thank you to all who helped & contributed to the Lotto this year.

December 2008 Clubnotes - Week 3 - Tue, 16 Dec 2008

U16 Ladies Footballers completed the League & Championship Double at the weekend beating Scoil Ui Chonail in the League Final replay. Well done to all involved. Both Championship Finals ended in draws at the weekend. Both games were cracking entertainment. The Minor Footballers replay against Na Fianna will take place at 2pm this Saturday in Balgriffin. Please check the website later this week as this may change. Junior Hurlers replay will take place in the New Year. The Club Xmas Party takes place this Friday from 8.30pm. Live music and many spot prizes. All Drinks are 3 Euro as a thank you to everyone for their hard work all year. Junior A Footballers went down narrowly in the League Promotion Final. Well done on your Championship winning year. Well done to Aodhan McEnerney who was part of the DIT Freshers team that won the All-Ireland Colleges league. Several items have been reduced in the club shop in the run-up to Xmas so plenty of bargains to be obtained especially the heavy all-weather jackets which are badly needed at the moment. December 2008 Clubnotes - Week 2 - Tue, 9 Dec 2008

Both Championship Finals were postponed due to the current weather. They will be now take place this Saturday in Balgriffin. The Minor Footballers face Na Fianna at 2pm while the Hurlers face Naomh Barrog at 3.30pm. Get out to Balgriffin & give both teams the support they deserve. U16 Ladies Footballers go for the Double tonight in Russell Pk, facing Scoil Ui Chonail at 8pm. Senior Footballers face Kilmacud in League Semi-Final at 7.30pm this Wednesday in Kiltipper Rd. If the lads win, they will play the final this Sunday at 11am in O'Toole Pk. Junior A Footballers face Clontarf in Promotion Final this Saturday at 7pm in Russell Pk. The Kids Xmas Party was thoroughly enjoyed by all. Best of luck to the incoming executive & special thanks to the outgoing officers. A big weekend ahead with our Junior A Hurlers & Minor Footballers contesting Championship Finals. Both are on this Sunday in Balgriffin. The Minor Footballers face Na Fianna at 11.0 while the Hurlers face Naomh Barrog at 12.30. Get out to Balgriffin & give both teams the support they deserve. The Kids Xmas Party also takes place on Sunday from 2.30pm ? 5pm in the club. The Party is followed by the Club AGM at 6pm. There will be music in the bar after the AGM. Make sure you are there with important issues to be discussed. Several items have been reduced in the club shop in the run-up to Xmas so plenty of bargains to be obtained especially the heavy all-weather jackets which are badly needed at the moment. Vouchers are also available. Shop will be open this Friday 7pm - 8.30pm and Sunday 2.30pm - 5pm. Shop can also be contacted on 086-405-0964. U21 Hurlers beat St Vincents to reach the Championship Semi-Finals with Na Fianna or Erins Isle next up. Senior 1, Inter 2 & Junior A Footballers all had good league wins; all 3 sides still in contention for league honours. Senior 2 Footballers went down by a point to Sygne St. Club Lotto takes place in The Vineyard this Thursday with a Jackpot of E5400
