February 2008 Clubnotes - Week 1 - Tue, 5 Feb 2008

Congrats to Niall O'Mahony, Bernie O'Sullivan , John & Noreen Fleming who won the Dublin Scor Final of Trath Na Gceist. They will now represent Dublin in the Leinster Championship in the coming weeks. Well done to Jamie Winters & Aodhan McEnerney who were part of the Dublin Colleges team who defeated St Kierans of Kilkenny in the Leinster Championship. A celebratory dinner to commemorate the Minor Footballers achievements will be held in Castleknock Hotel & Country Club on February 14th at 7.30pm. Anyone interested in attending should contact Brenda McCarrick on 086-356-4974. The adult football & hurling master fixture schedule for 2008 is now available from the club website. Club Membership is now due. It is very important that all members pay their membership. They will not be insured if there membership is not paid. The club are holding a major fundraiser at the Punchestown Festival on Wednesday April 23rd. This will help finance Phase 2 of our development which includes a hurling wall & dressing rooms. For more information contact Michael Sweeney @ 087-051-7779. Adult ladies football training resumes this Wednesday at 6:30pm. Club Lotto takes place this Thursday in Russell Park. 25's card games return every Thursday in the club bar from 9pm.

February 2008 Clubnotes - Week 2 - Tue, 12 Feb 2008

Well done to Declan Lally & Kevin Bonner who helped the Dubs win the O'Byrne Cup in a dramatic Final against Longford. A big thank you to Seamus Bonner, Tom Quinn & Seamus Morrison who have stepped down after six years at the helm of the Senior 2 Footballers They guided the team to Intermediate Championship Glory and also led the team to Senior status. Anyone interested in taking on the new post should contact Paddy Davey on 086-822-9312. Our Inter 2 Footballers enjoyed a trip away to Clare at the weekend. They had a fantastic time. February 2008 Clubnotes - Week 3 - Tue, 19 Feb 2008

Final Club Registration Day takes place this Sunday from 4pm to 7pm in Russell Pk. Club Membership is now well overdue. It is very important that all members pay their membership. They will not be insured if there membership is not paid. The Minor Footballers had a great night last Thursday as they were presented with their medals. It was a black tie affair and the lads got their just rewards for a fantastic year. A big thank you to everyone who helped make the night such a success. Minor B Footballers had a good win over Ballyboden while the Inter 1 Footballers drew with Ballymun. The Inter 2 Footballers beat St Marys while the Junior A Footballers defeated St Brendan's. Best of Luck to Daire Plunkett, Aodhan McEnerney and Jamie Winters this Saturday with the Dublin Colleges in their Leinster Semi-Final versus Good Counsel College at 2pm in Carlow. Major fundraiser at the Punchestown Festival on Wednesday April 23rd. This will help finance Phase 2 of our development which includes a hurling wall & dressing rooms. February 2008 Clubnotes - Week 4 - Tue, 26 Feb 2008

Congrats to Eoin Kennedy who won his fourth Vodafone All-Star Player of the Year Award at a presentation luncheon held in the Westbury Hotel. Eoin having previously won the prestigious All-Star Awards in 2002, 2004 & 2006. The weekend will see Julie Long remembered with a memorial tournament. On Friday, at 7:30 p.m. there will be an exhibition doubles match, Eoin Kennedy & Egin Jenson playing Duxie Walsh & Micheal Greegan. This will be followed by music and food in the club house. On Saturday, starting at around 10:30 a.m. there will be a one day handball tournament for ladies and gents of all ages and standards. Well done to Daire Plunkett, Aodhan McEnerney and Jamie Winters who were part of the Dublin Colleges team who progressed to the Leinster Final. The clubs Easter Camp will run from Tuesday March 25th to Friday 28th. Application forms are available from the club website. Club Membership is now well overdue.
