July 2008 Clubnotes - Week 5 - Tue, 29 Jul 2008

Ticket book for Dublin's All-Ireland Quarter-Final on August 9th/10th will close this evening at 10pm in the club bar. Only members who have already applied for tickets this year are eligible. The club will only be receiving at max their Leinster Final allocation. Congrats to Warren Finnegan, Chris Dorney & the Dublin Juniors who were crowned All-Ireland Junior Football Champions after defeating Roscommon 0-13 to 0-7 on Saturday in Portlaoise. Well done to Eoin Kennedy & Egin Jenson who defeated Paul Mullins & David Moloney of Tipperary 21- 6, 21-12 to advance to the Quarter-Finals of the All-Ireland Doubles. Best of Luck to Shona Barrett, Enya Farrell, Noelle Healy & the Dublin Ladies Minor Footballers this Sunday versus Tyrone in their All-Ireland Final in Breffini Park. Time & Day TBC so please check the website later this week. Hard Luck to Sean O'Sullivan, Brian Kelly, Cian O'Mahony, Willie Bourke & Dublin Fingal who were edged out by Sligo in their Nicky Rackard Semi-Final. Best of Luck to Warren Finnegan, Chris Dorney & the Dublin Juniors in their All-Ireland Final this Saturday vs Roscommon. Venue TBA so please check website later this week. Junior A Hurlers Champo Match vs Castleknock due to played tonight has been postponed. Support your club. Congrats to Shona Barrett, Noelle Healy and Enya Farrell who represented the club for the Dublin Minor Footballbers who beat Mayo in their All-Ireland Semi-Final. Well done to Brian Kelly, Willie Bourke, Cian O'Mahony & Paddy McAvenue who were part of the Dublin Fingal team that advacned to the Nicky Rackard Semi-Finals. Well done to Shorcha Furlong who was part of the Dublin Ladies Senior Footballers who won the Leinster Title. Well done to Barry, Kevin & Paddy on their Leinster win. Junior A Footballers advanced to Champo Semi-Finals with a good win over Raheny. Also fine league wins for both Inter teams over Clann Mhuire and Round Towers. Well done to Eoin Kennedy who defeated Gavin Buggy in the All-Ireland Singles last 32. Congrats to Warren Finnegan, Chris Dorney & the Dublin Juniors who advanced to the All-Ireland Final while they will face Roscommon on July 26th. Warren scoring 1-6. Junior A Footballers face Raheny in Champo Q-Final at 7.45 in Russell Pk this Thursday. Please support the lads. Best of Luck to Barry Cahill, Paddy Andrews, Kevin Bonner and Dublin this Sunday vs Wexford in the Leinster Final. Tickets to be distributed from 10pm on Thursday. Best of luck to Brian Kelly, Willie Bourke, Cian O'Mahony, Paddy McAvenue & Dublin Fingal in their Nicky Rackard Q-Final vs Leitrim this Saturday at 3pm in Parnell Pk. Junior A Hurlers had a fine Championship win over Liffey Gaels. Plenty of action in Russell Pk this Saturday evening with four Adult Football Games on with the first two starting at 5pm and the 2nd two at 6.30pm. Congratulations to Shona Barrett, Noelle Healy and Enya Farrell who represented the club for the Dublin Minor Footballbers who beat Galway in their All-Ireland Q-Final. Well done to Brian Kelly, Willie Bourke, Cian O'Mahony & Paddy McAvenue who were part of the Dublin Fingal team that advacned to the Nicky Rackard Q-Finals. Senior Camogie face St Judes tonight at 7.30pm in Russell Pk in a league title decider so please get down and support the girls. Senior Hurlers face Croabh Ciaran at 7.45 on Thursday in Russell Pk. Junior A Hurlers face Liffey Gaels in Championship at 11 on Sunday in Liffey Pk while the Junior B Hurlers face Crumlin in Championship at 11 in Russell Pk. Support your club. The ticket book for the Dublin vs Wexford Leinster Football Final will close this Sunday at 10pm. Congrats to Warren Finnegan, Chris Dorney & the Dublin Juniors who won the Leinster Title yesterday. Warren turning in a man of the match performance scoring 1-7. Well done to Barry Cahill, Kevin Bonner & Paddy Andrews on Dublin's win over Westmeath. Daire Plunkett, Jamie Winters & Cathal Doyle suffered heartbreak as the Dublin Minor Hurlers lost by a point in their replay. On Sunday in Croke Pk, the programme featured a 2 page spread on our club website. This article is available on the website now. It was great for the club and a big thank to everyone who helps make it so good. Plenty of action in Russell Pk this week with the Junior A Footballers play Judes tonight at 7.45pm. Senior 2's face Kilmacud at 7.45pm on Wednesday. Inter 2's face Crumlin at 6.30pm on Saturday while the Junior A's face Clontarf at 11 on Sunday.
