June 2008 Clubnotes - Week 4 - Tue, 24 Jun 2008

Junior B Hurlers had a fine Championship win over Clontarf while the Junior A Hurlers went down narrowly to Lucan. U14 Footballers had good win over Erin's Isle. Tickets for the Dublin vs Westmeath Game will be distributed from 10pm on Thursday. Best of Luck to Warren Finnegan & Chris Dorney this Sunday vs Meath in the Leinster Junior Football Final. Throw-in at 12.15 in Croke Pk. Best of Luck to Barry Cahill, Paddy Andrews, Kevin Bonner & the Dublin Footballers this Sunday vs Westmeath. Hard Luck to Alan Nolan & the Dublin Senior Hurlers on their loss to Wexford. Best of Luck to Daire Plunkett, Jamie Winters, Cathal Doyle & the Dublin Minor Hurlers versus Wexford in their replay this Saturday evening in Wexford Pk. Dublin U21 Hurlers face Kilkenny this Thursday in Championship at 7.30 in Parnell Pk. Congrats to Luke Purtill who was the Dublin Mascot for the Dubs opening Championship game versus Louth. It was a great honour for his family and the club. Senior 2 & Junior A Footballers had Championship wins over Garristown & Ballyboughal while the Inter 2 Footballers went down to St Oliver Plunketts. Best of Luck to Daire Plunkett, Jamie Winters, Cathal Doyle & the Dublin Minor Hurlers versus Wexford this Sunday. Throw-in at 12.15 in Croke Pk. Also best of luck to Alan Nolan and the Dublin Senior Hurlers vs Wexford in their replay in Croke Pk at 3.50pm. Junior B Hurlers face Clontarf this Thursday in Championship at 7.45 in St Annes Pk. There will be no Grass pitches available in Russell Park this evening, Thursday and Friday evening or Saturday afternoon for training or matches due to Annual Mini-Leagues Festival. Big week of Adult Football Championship Games lies ahead. Senior 2 Footballers face Garristown at 7.45 this Wednesday in St Margaret's. Inter 2 Footballers face St Oliver Plunketts in Martin Savage Pk at 11am on Sunday in Junior A Champo. Junior Footballers face Ballyboughal at 3pm on Sunday in Ballyboughal. Support your club. Congrats to Barry Cahill, Kevin Bonner, Paddy Andrews and the Dublin Footballers on their win against Louth. Ticket Book for the Dublin vs Westmeath Leinster Semi-Final on June 29th will close on Monday June 16th. Well done to Warren Finnegan, Chris Dorney and the Dublin Juniors on reaching the Leinster Final. The Danone Nursery Fundraisor Walk was a big success raising over E2000 for Bernardos. Junior A Hurlers face Naomh Barrog in Pairc Barrog this Wednesday at 7.45pm in Championship while the Junior B Hurlers face Finbars in Russell Pk this Thursday at 7.45pm in Championship. Support your club. Mini Leagues commence on Monday June 9th, all fixtures & teams are on the club website. The Club Golf Classic was a great success with Davy Stockbrokers winning by a single point. Congrats to St Francis Xavier on their Cumman Na Bunscoil win. Best of Luck to Barry Cahill, Kevin Bonner, Paddy Andrews and the Dublin Footballers this Sunday versus Louth.
