October 2008 Clubnotes - Week 4 - Tue, 28 Oct 2008 Great news on the development front; the new changing rooms and hurling wall will start next week with a planned completion date of March next year. Thank you to everyone who has helped in the fundraising & planning. Minor Footballers beat Naomh Mearnog in their Champo Q-Final to set-up a Semi-Final clash with Kilmacud Crokes. Senior Hurlers beat Naomh Mearnog in their Championship Relegation Play-off. Junior A Hurlers Champo Semi-Final was postponed due to the weather. U21 Hurlers in Champo Action this Saturday at 2.30pm vs O'Tooles in Blunden Drive. Plenty of adult football league action on Sunday with our Senior's facing Kilmacud at 2.30 in Silver Pk, Senior 2's facing O'Tooles at 2.30 in Russell Pk, Inter 1's facing Round Towers in Clondalkin at 2.30 & Junior A's facing Erin's Isle at 3pm in Russell Pk. Niall Ryan & Daire Plunkett shared the winner's pot for the All-Ireland Football Final Forecast Competition. A big thanks to John Fleming for organising the competition. Lotto in The Roselawn this Thursday with a Jackpot of E4400. October 2008 Clubnotes - Week 3 - Tue, 21 Oct 2008 A bitterly disappointing weekend for our five juvenile teams in their Championship Finals last weekend. The U13 & U16 Hurlers lost to Sylvester's & Faughs while the U11, U14 & U16 Camogie teams also lost. Well done to all on the fantastic achievement of reaching the final. A big thank to all mentors. Minor Hurlers drew with St Judes in Champo while the Inter 2 & Junior A Footballers had good league wins over Fingallians & Naomh Barrog. Big weekend of Championship action ahead. Senior Hurlers face Naomh Mearnog at 3pm on Saturday in Blakestown. A win will ensure their Senior A status, so get up there and support them. Minor A Footballers face Naomh Mearnog at 11 in Russell Pk this Sunday in their Championship Q-Final while the Junior A Hurlers face St Sylvester's at 12.30 on Sunday in O'Toole Pk in their Championship Semi-Final. October 2008 Clubnotes - Week 2 - Tue, 14 Oct 2008 U15 Hurlers won the "A" Sheild last Wednesday beating Na Fianna at a packed Russell Pk. It was a superb achievement for this side who are making great strides. U16 Hurlers beat Thomas Davis to reach the Champo Final which will be played this Saturday in Rush at 12.30 vs Faughs. U11, U14 & U16 Camogie teams are in Champo Finals this weekend as well. Please check the website later this week for Times & Venues for all of these finals. Hard Luck to the Senior Camogie who lost out to St Judes by a point in their Champo Final. Senior 2 Footballers lost to Kilmacud Crokes in their 2nd Inter Champo Replay. Minor A Footballers topped their Champo Group & will play their Q-Final in Russell Pk on the bank holiday Sunday. Senior Hurlers beat St Judes to leave a winner takes all game against Naomh Mearnog on the bank holiday Saturday. Junior Hurlers beat Faughs in League. Minor Hurlers face St Judes in a winner takes all Champo game this Sunday at 11 in Tymon North. Club Lotto in The Vineyard this Thursday with a Jackpot of E4000. U15 Hurlers in Shield Final this Wednesday at 8pm in Russell Pk. Senior Hurlers face St Judes in crucial relegation P/O this Saturday at 5pm in Rathcoole. Minor A & B Footballers in Champo action this Sunday with the A's facing Ballinteer in Marley Pk at 11 & the B's facing Whitehall at 11 in Russell Pk. Junior A Hurlers face St Slyvesters in Champo Semi-Final this Sunday at 4pm in Portmarnock. Junior A Footballers defeated Kilmacud Crokes in crucial promotion tie. The Inter 2 Footballers under Noel Cassidy edged out the Inter 1 Footballers in an entertaining league clash. Senior 2 Footballers drew with Kilmacud in their Champo Replay. The 2nd replay will take place this Sunday at 3pm in Parnell Pk. Minor Hurlers beat Lucan in Champo. U16 Hurlers drew with Thomas Davis after extra-time in their Champo Semi-Final with replay on Sunday at 4.30pm in Kiltipper Road. U14 & 16 Camogie both won their Champo Semi-Finals.
