September 2008 Clubnotes - Week 5 - Tue, 30 Sep 2008

Congrats to the U16 Camogie who beat Kilmacud Crokes to be crowned league champions. Minor A & B Footballers turned in impressive Champo wins over Kilmacud & St Finians. Junior A Hurlers defeated Ballyboden to progress to the Champo Semi-Finals where they will face Sylvesters. Senior 2 Footballers face Kilmacud Crokes this Wednesday at 7 in Parnell Pk in their Inter Champo Semi-Final. Senior Footballers face Round Towers in the "B" Champo this Saturday at 5.30 in Clondalkin. The league clash of our 2 Inter Football teams takes place this Saturday at 5.30 in Russell Pk. Minor Hurlers face Lucan in Champo at 11 in the 12th Lock this Sunday. Senior Camogie beat Lucan to setup Semi-Final clash vs Skerries this Saturday. U14 & 16 Camogie also has Champo Semi-Finals this weekend as well. U15 Hurlers in shield final this weekend. Venues & Times TBA so please check website later this week. Nursery has resumed with football on Friday evenings at 6.15pm and Hurling at 10.15am on Saturday mornings in Russell Pk. Congrats to Martin Cahill, Sean Duignan, Domhnaill O'Mahony & Cian O'Mahony who won the FBD All-Ireland Golf Title, a massive achievement for the lads. Senior Footballers drew with Ballymun but didn't qualify for the Quarters as they were ousted on point's difference. Brilliant win for the Minor A Footballers over St Vincents in a thrilling contest. Minor A Footballers now face Kilmacud Crokes in Championship this Sunday at 11 in Silver Pk while the Minor B's face St Finians at 11 in Russell Pk. U15 Hurlers turned in a brilliant display to defeat Ballyboden in the Shield Semi-Final while the U16 Hurlers qualified for the Championship Semi-Finals defeating Na Fianna. Junior A Hurlers face Ballyboden in their Champo Q-Final this Sunday at 11 in Russell Pk. Senior Hurlers face Cuala in crucial Senior Relegation decider at 5pm in O'Toole Pk this Saturday. Senior Camogie face Lucan in Champo Q-Final this Saturday at 1.30pm in Russell Pk. Nursery has resumed with football on Friday evenings at 6.15pm and Hurling at 10.15am on Saturday mornings in Russell Pk. The Junior A Footballers were crowned Junior Football Championship winners on Sunday in Parnell Pk. It was a long time coming for this team. It was great to see such a big crowd there. Special thanks to St Annes for the guard of honour after the game. Senior 2 Footballers progressed to Champo Semi-Finals with good display against St Pats. U15 Footballers also had a fine win over Ballinteer in the Championship. U14 Hurlers beat Whitehall. Senior Footballers face Ballymun in Championship group decider this Saturday at 4pm in Portmarnock. Minor Footballers face St Vincents in Championbship this Sunday at 10.45 in Russell Pk. Minor B's face Fingal Ravens at 10.45 in Rolestown. Nursery has resumed with football on Friday evenings at 6.15pm and Hurling at 10.15am on Saturday mornings in Russell Pk. Eoin Kennedy cemented his position as a Handball Legend when he won his fifth consecutive 60 by 30 All-Ireland Title on Saturday evening defeating Duxie Walsh 21-5, 21-12. Eoin winning in some style at a packed Croke Pk. We are very proud of his achievements. He is true ambassador for the club. Big week of Championship ahead, Junior A Footballers face St Annes in their Champo Final this Sunday at 3pm in Parnell Pk. Senior 2 Footballers face St Pats at 4pm in Balgriffin this Saturday in the Inter Champo Q-Final. Senior Footballers face St Maurs at 8.15pm in Parnell Pk this Wednesday. Minor Hurlers open their Champo campaign against St Kevins this Sunday at 11am in Russell Pk. Well done to the Senior Camogie who topped their group to qualify for the Champo Quarter-Finals. Senior Hurlers went down to Ballyboden St Enda' in the Championship. All other games were off due to the weather. Well done to the Senior Camogie who qualified for the Champo Quarter-Finals defeating Finbars. They face Kilmacud tonight at 7pm in Russell Pk with a win securing top spot in the group. U12 Cumaint Hurlers done the club proud finishing runners-up to Ballyboden in Parnell Pk only losing out by a goal. Nursery resumes this Friday at 6.15pm in Russell Pk. More Nursery key date information for the year is available on the club website. Hard to Eoin Kennedy & Egin Jenson who bowed at the Semi-Finals of the All-Ireland Doubles after a titanic struggle. Best of Luck to Eoin as he faces Michael "Duxie" Walsh this Saturday in the All-Ireland Singles Final in Croke Pk. Eoin is going for his 4th straight win in the 60 by 30. He is fourth game on with the first starting at 3pm. Senior Hurlers beat the Dublin North East Regional team in the Champo and now face Ballyboden in their final group game at 6pm in Rathcoole this Saturday. Minor A Footballers open their Champo defence vs St Vincents this Sunday at 11 in Russell Pk. Inter 2 & Junior B Footballers both narrowly lost their Cup Semi-Finals. Key Champo dates for next week, Senior Footballers face St Maurs on Wed Sept 10th at 8.15pm in Parnell Pk, Senior 2 Footballers face St Pats on Saturday Sept 13th at 4pm in Balgriffin & Junior A Footballers face St Annes on Sunday Sept 14th at 3pm in Parnell Pk.
