April 2009 Clubnotes - Week 4 - Tue, 28 Apr 2009

Important that all members pay their membership by this week as players not paid up will not be allowed play. Congrats to Barry Cahill on his selection as the Dublin Senior Footballers Vice-captain. Senior Hurlers had 2 big Champo wins over St Marks & Raheny. Inter Hurlers drew with Thomas Davis while their other game was postponed. Ladies Senior Footballers had a good league win vs Parnells & now look forward to Wed when they face Round Towers in Champo at 7 in Russell Pk. This Thursday will see Kilkenny Captain James ?Cha? Fitzpatrick visit Russell Pk. He will be there from 7-8.30. Big week of adult football champo ahead. On Tues, our combined Inter Footballers take on Scoil Ui Chonail at 7.15 in Russell Pk. On Wed, our Senior 2?s take on O?Dwyers at 7.15 in the Naul. Junior A?s also face Thomas Davis on Wed at 7.15 in Russell Pk. On Thurs, our Senior Footballers face Fingal Ravens at 8.30 at Parnell Pk. Big support needed for all teams. Club Lotto takes place this Thursday in Russell Pk with a Jackpot of E9000.

Well done to Dublin Minor Captain Collie Carr, Kevin Twomey, Philip Ryan & the Dublin Minor Footballers on their Champo Win over Louth. Hard luck to Gavin McIntyre, Sean Murray, Paddy Andrews, Declan Darcy & the Dublin U21 Footballers on narrow defeat to Cork. Also, hard luck to Sorcha Furlong, Colleen Barrett, Katie Murphy, Elaine Kelly and the Dublin Ladies Footballers who lost out to Cork. Busy week of hurling Champo ahead. Senior Hurlers face St Marks & Inter Hurlers face Thomas Davis this Tues at 7pm in Russell Pk. Junior Hurlers face Scoil Ui Chonaill away on Wed at 7pm. Senior Hurlers face Rahney in St Annes Pk & Inter Hurlers face Setanta in Poppintree on Sat at 6pm. Junior Hurlers face Clontarf at 11 in Russell Pk on Sun. Best of luck to Gavin McIntyre, Paddy Andrews, Sean Murray, Declan Darcy & Dublin U21 Footballers in their All-Ireland Semi-Final this Sat vs Cork. Throw-in at 3.30pm in Thurles. Best of luck to Sorcha Furlong, Colleen Barrett, Katie Murphy, Elaine Kelly and the Dublin Ladies Footballers vs Cork in the League Semi-Finals. Throw-in at 1.30pm in Thurles this Sat. Congrats to Gavin McIntyre, Sean Murray, Paddy Andrews, Declan Darcy & the Dublin U21 Footballers on their Leinster Football Final win over Laois. Senior footballers beat Lucan in the Cup while the Junior A?s beat Plunketts in the Cup. Senior Hurlers & Inter Hurlers had convincing league wins over Clan Na Gael Fontenoy & Faughs. The Easter camp runs from April 14th ?17th and booking can be made by calling 087-904-7300. Junior A Footballers League game versus Ballinteer has been moved to Good Friday at 7pm in Marley Pk. Well done to Sorcha Furlong, Colleen Barrett, Katie Murphy, Elaine Kelly and the Dublin Ladies Footballers who beat Armagh to qualify for the League Semi-Finals. Well done to Olivia Smartt, Aisling King, Michelle O' Reilly, Deirdre Murphy and Sinead Farrelly who were part of the Dublin U16 Ladies Leinster Champo win over Wexford. Congrats to Luke Purtill and Sean O'Malley who were selected picked for the U/13 Hurling Dublin Development Squad. Club Lotto takes place this Thursday in Russell Pk with a Jackpot of E8400.
