February 2009 Clubnotes - Week 4 - Tue, 24 Feb 2009 Congrats to Eoin Kennedy who advanced to the 40*20 All-Ireland Semi-Final defeating Brian Carroll of Meath. Best of Luck this weekend in the All-Ireland Doubles Q-Finals. Well done to Gavin McIntyre, Paddy Andrews, Sean Murray & Dublin U21 Footballers on their Leinster Champo win vs Louth. Club Membership is now due. It is very important that all members pay their membership. They will not be insured if membership is not paid. Inter 2 & Junior A Footballers had good Cup Wins. U9 footballers had another great win against Peregrines. U10's and U11's were beaten by St Vincents. U12B drew with Fingallians while the 12A?s had a comprehensive win against Skerries Harps. 13A?s lost to Whitehall, while 13B?s defeated Croi Ro Naofa. 14?s maintained their unbeaten run against Skerries, while the U16?s were beaten by Skerries. Junior A & B Footballers open their League Campaigns this weekend with the A's facing Beann Eadair at 11 on Sun in Russell Pk. Junior B's are away to Geraldine Morans at 3pm. Other adult teams in Cup action at 11am. Senior 1's face St Marys in Saggart. Senior 2's face Parnells in St David. Inter 1's face Naomh Mearnog in Portmarnock. Inter 2's face Crumlin in Pearse Pk. Minor Hurlers start off their league campaign at 11am on Sun vs Faughs in Tymon North. Club Lotto takes place this Thursday in The Roselawn Inn with a Jackpot of E7200. There will also be a Ladies Football Fundraiser Quiz in the Roselawn Inn from 8.30pm. Registration forms are now available from the club website for the Nursery & Juvenile Sections. February 2009 Clubnotes - Week 1 - Tue, 3 Feb 2009 St Brigids were awarded Leinster GAA Website for 2008. It's a great honour for the club & just rewards for all the hard work put into the site. Annual club mass takes place this Thursday at 7.30pm in Russell Pk. Juvenile Football kicked off new season last weekend but many fixtures fell to the weather. However, great wins for U13 against Castleknock and U14 against Round Towers. Registration of all Juvenile Players takes place this Friday in the club from 6.30pm. Refreshments served. Minor Footballers are being honoured this Saturday evening in the Castleknock Hotel. All members are welcome. Tickets are ?40. Full meal & entertainment provided. Senior 2 Footballers put in a tremendous nights football versus Clontarf to retain their Senior 2 League status. Big thanks to everyone who helped with the hosting of the U21 Hurling Final. Inter Footballers were edged out by St Sylvester's in their P/O Semi-Final. Club Bar has a new 60'' Plasma TV for all sporting games. February 2009 Clubnotes - Week 3 - Tue, 17 Feb 2009 Best of luck to Paddy Andrews, Gavin McIntyre, Sean Murray and the Dublin under 21 footballers versus Louth this Sunday. Well done to Sean O'Sullivan, Cian o Mahony, Brian Kelly and Fingal on their league win over Louth. Another brilliant win for Alan Nolan and the Dublin hurlers. Eoin Kennedy advanced to All Ireland doubles quarterfinals with a convincing win, best of luck to him in the All Ireland singles quarterfinals on Saturday. Club lotto jackpot is E7000 this Thursday in Russell Park. Best wishes and speedy recovery to Tony Cahill & Sean O'Carroll. Junior footballers will receive their championship medals this Saturday night in Russell Park. Juvenile registration forms are available to download from club website. Thanks to all those Juveniles who registered for 2009 last Friday. Forms are available from all mentors for others. Please note from end Feb for insurance purposes you cannot play games unless registered. Well done to U9 footballers who started season off with great win against St Finnians. U12 B had thrilling 1 point victory over na Fianna in Cup. U12A's were narrowly beaten by St Vincents. Both U13 teams kept up their winning run, as did the U14's against Ballyboden. Eoin is in doublesaction this Saturday against Noel Murphy & Conor O'Brien Offaly. Thegame starts at 5pm in Ballymore Eustace. Inter 2 Footballers travelledto Dromahair Co Leitrim for the weekend. The lads edged out Dromahairwith a last minute goal to win by a point to win the Barney McGarrellCup. A big thanks to Dromahair for their hospitality and best of luckto them in Celebrity Banisteoir. Ladies Football Section enjoyed agreat presentation evening in Russell Pk while the Minor Footballersalso had a great night in Castleknock Hotel. Well done to Alan Nolan &the Dublin Hurlers on their win over Cork. Dublin U21 FootballersChampo opener versus Louth was called off. Junior Hurlers ChampionshipReplay has been postponed again. Best of luck to all adult footballteams who start off their Cup campaigns this Sunday. All Juvenile &Adult were called off at the weekend due to the current weather.
