March 2009 Clubnotes - Week 5 - Tue, 31 Mar 2009

Well done to Olivia Smartt, Aisling King, Michelle O' Reilly, Deirdre Murphy and Sinead Farrelly who were part of the Dublin U16 Ladies Leinster Champo win over Laois. Best of luck to Gavin McIntyre, Paddy Andrews, Sean Murray, Declan Darcy & Dublin U21 Footballers in their Leinster Football Final this Sun vs Laois. Throw-in at 3pm in Portlaoise. Senior 1 & 2 Footballers had good away league wins over Plunketts & Parnells. Inter 2 Footballers beat Ballymun while the Junior 4?s beat St Colmcilles. Club Membership is now due. It is very important that all members pay their membership. They will not be insured if membership is not paid. On Sat, Senior Hurlers play Clan Na Gael Fontenoy at 4.30 in Russell Pk. Inter Hurlers play Faughs at 4.30 in Tymon North. Senior Footballers play Lucan in Cup at 5pm in Russell Pk. Inter 1 Footballers play Lucan in Cup at 5pm in 12th Lock. On Sun, Junior Hurlers play St Vincents in Pairc Na Uinsionn at 11. Junior 4?s Footballers play Plunketts in Cup at 11 in Russell Pk. Minor Footballers play Plunketts at 11 in Martin Savage Pk. Club Lotto takes place this Thursday in The Vineyard with a Jackpot of E8200.

Well done to Gavin McIntyre, Paddy Andrews, Sean Murray, Declan Darcy & Dublin U21 Footballers on their Leinster Champo Semi-Final win over Westmeath. Congrats to Paddy was receiving his GPA Scholarship to DCU. Hard luck to Eoin Kennedy who bowed out at the 40*20 All-Ireland Doubles Semi-Finals. Club Membership is now due. It is very important that all members pay their membership. They will not be insured if membership is not paid. Senior Hurlers opened their league campaign with a good win over St Marks. Inter Hurlers drew with O?Tooles while the Junior Hurlers beat Faughs. Senior 2 Footballers had a good win over O?Tooles while the Inter 2 Footballers drew with Clann Mhuire. On Sat, the Senior Footballers face Plunketts in Martin Savage Pk. Senior 2 Footballers face Parnells in St Davids. Inter 1 Footballers face in Russell Pk. Inter 2 Footballers face Ballymun in Pairc Ciceam. All at 4.45pm. On Sun, the Junior A?s face St Colmcilles at 11 on Sun in Russell Pk. Junior B?s face Castleknock at 3pm in Russell Pk. Club Lotto takes place this Thursday in The Roselawn Inn with a Jackpot of E8000. Our deepest sympathies are extended to the Brooks family on their recent loss.

Hard luck to Eoin Kennedy who lost out to Paul Brady in 40 by 20 All-Ireland Singles Final. Best of luck to Eoin on Sat in 40 by 20 All-Ireland Doubles Semi-Final. Senior 1?s had a good league win over St Vincents while the Senior 2?s drew with Cuala. Inter 2 Footballers had a convincing win over Lusk while the Inter 1?s went down to Erins Isle. Junior 4?s had a good win over St Peregrines while the Junior 7?s beat Good Counsel. Minor Hurlers drew with Plunketts. Adult Hurlers start off their league campaigns this weekend. Senior Hurlers face St Marks away at 4.30 on Sat while the Inter Hurlers face O?Tooles at 4.30 on Sat in Russell Pk. Junior A Hurlers face Faughs at 11 on Sun in Russell Pk. Plenty of Adult Football Cup action as well. Check the website for all the fixtures. Best of Luck to Paddy Andrews, Gavin McIntyre, Sean Murray & Dublin U21 Footballers in their Leinster Semi-Final this Sat versus Westmeath at 2pm in Parnell Pk. Junior Hurlers captured the Junior A Hurling Champo with a brilliant display against Naomh Barrog. A tremendous effort from all involved & especially sweet for the elder states men of the team. Congrats to Eoin Kennedy who advanced to the All-Ireland 40 by 20 Final after a tough Semi-Final against Michael Gregan. Best of luck this Sat in the Final vs Paul Brady. Well done Paddy Andrews, Gavin McIntyre, Sean Murray & Dublin U21's who beat Meath on Sat. Leinster Semi-Final on Saturday March 21st vs Westmeath in Parnell Pk. Well done to Barry, Declan, Kevin & Paddy on their win over Donegal on Sun. Senior 1 & 2 Footballers had good cup wins against St Annes & Clontarf. Inter 1 & 2 Footballers also had cup win's over St Finians(N) & Round Towers(L). Minor Footballers beat St Slyvesters. U16 footballers lost by a point. Plenty of action in this Sunday. Senior Footballers open their league campaign at 11 vs St Vincents. Senior 2's face Cuala/St Peregerines at 12.30. Inter 2 Footballers face Round Towers(L) at 12.30. Minor Hurlers face Plunketts at 11. All of these games are in Russell Pk. Inter 2 Footballers travel to Finglas at 11 to play Erins Isle. Junior 4's face St Peregerines at 12.30 in Blakestown. Club bar opens at 5pm on St Patricks Day. Live Music & great craic to be had. Club Lotto takes place this Thursday in The Vineyard with a Jackpot of E7600.

Congrats to Eoin Kennedy who advanced to the All-Ireland 40 by 20 Doubles Semi-Final on Sunday. Best of luck to Eoin this Saturday in the All-Ireland 40 by 20 Singles Semi-Final vs Michael Gregan in At O'Loughlin's, Kilkenny at 5pm. Junior A & B Footballers opened their League campaigns with wins against Beann Eadir & Geraldine Morans. Inter 1 & 2 Footballers also had cup wins. Senior 2 footballers were edged out by Parnells. Best of Luck to the Junior A Hurlers this Saturday in their Champo Final Replay from 2008. Throw-in at 2pm in Portmarnock. Senior Hurlers enjoyed a great trip to Kilkenny at the weekend. Well done to Sorcha Furlong, Colleen Barrett, Katie Murphy, Elaine Kelly and the Dublin Ladies Footballers who beat All-Ireland Champions Cork to make it 4/4 in the league. Construction of new changing rooms continues to progress with the foundations in place. Dublin U21 Footballers may be facing Meath this Saturday in Parnell Pk. Dublin are currently awaiting confirmation from the Leinster Council. Best of luck to Paddy, Gavin & Sean if the game goes ahead.
