May 2009 Clubnotes - Week 4 - Tue, 26 May 2009

Tickets for Dublin vs Meath & Dublin vs Antrim on June 7th will be distributed this Thurs from 10pm in Russell Pk. Congrats to Colm Carr(captain), Naill O?Dea, Philip Ryan, Kevin Twomey & the Dublin Minor Footballers on their win over Laois. Best of luck to Aodhan McEnerney, Ciaran Kellet, Mick Cussen who line out for the Dublin U21 Hurlers vs Kildare in their Leinster Opener on Tues at 7.30 in Clane. Best of luck to Alan McCarrick, Cathal Doyle, Mark Ferguson who line out for the Dublin Junior Footballers Hurlers vs Kildare in their Leinster Opener on Wed at 7.30 in Fingallians. Senior & Hurlers had good league wins over St Peregrines and Raheny over the weekend. Junior Footballers qualified for the Cup Semi-Finals beating St Peregrines. Plenty of action in Russell Pk this Tues with both Inter teams in league action vs St Pats(D) and St Sylvester?s at 7.30. Senior Footballers face Trinity Gaels on Thurs at 7.30 in Russell Pk. The annual club Mini-League will take place from Mon June 8th to Sat June 13th. Members and non members welcome. The Club Golf Classic was a great success with over 50 teams taking part. Club Lotto takes place this Thursday in Russell Pk with a Jackpot of E9800.

May 2009 Clubnotes - Week 3 - Tue, 19 May 2009

Ticket Book for Dublin vs Meath & Dublin vs Antrim on June 7th closes this Thurs. Only members who have paid their membership before April 30th are eligible. Congrats to Caroline Brogan, Enya Farrell, Michelle O'Reilly & the Dublin Ladies Minor Footballers on their Leinster Final Victory. Best of luck to Collie Carr, Naill O'Dea, Philip Ryan, Kevin Twomey & Dublin Minor Footballers this Sat vs Laois in the Leinster Champo. Throw-in at 2pm in Portmarnock. Dublin play Mayo in a friendly this Friday at 8pm in Portmarnock. Disappointing week for all our adult football teams with Championship defeats. Ladies Senior Footballers face Man O War in Champo this Wed at 7.30 in Russell Pk. Junior Hurlers play O'Dwyers in Champo at 7.30 on Wed in Russell Pk. Inter Hurlers face Kilmacud in Champo on Wed at 7.30 in Silver Pk. Senior Hurlers face St Peregerines in League at 6 on Sat in Blakestown. The annual club Mini-League will take place from Mon June 8th to Sat June 13th. Members and non members welcome. Registration takes place on Friday May 15th between 7pm and 8pm in Russell Park. Club Golf Classic takes place in Royal Tara this Friday with only a few slots left. Call 086-8229-312 if you are interested in taking part. There will be live music in the bar this Friday when the Golf Presentation will take place. Club Lotto takes place this Thursday in Russell Pk with a Jackpot of E9400.

Senior Hurlers made it 3 out of 3 in the Champo beating Trinity Gaels. Inter Hurlers had 2 Champo win?s last week, defeating Setanta & Craobh Chairain. Big week of Adult Football Championship ahead. Senior 2 Footballers face Cuala at 7.15 in O?Toole on Wed. Senior Footballers face Oliver Plunketts at 8.30 in Parnell Pk on Fri. Junior B Footballers face St Finian?s(N) at 6 on Sat in Rathcoole. Combined Inter teams face Craobh Chairain at 11 on Sun in Clonsaugh. Junior A Footballers face St Vincents at 3 on Sun in Russell Pk. The annual club Mini-League will take place from Mon June 8th to Sat June 13th. Members and non members welcome. Registration takes place on Friday May 15th between 7pm and 8pm in Russell Park. Club Golf Classic on May 22nd in Royal Tara is proving the most successful to record with only a few slots left. Call 086-8229-312 if you are interested in taking part. Our deepest sympathies are extended to the O'Riordan Family on the passing of Michael who was part of 1958 winning team. Club Lotto takes place this Thursday in Russell Pk with a Jackpot of E9200.

Pride of place goes to our U14 Girls footballers who won the Feile & go on to represent Dublin in the All-Ireland Finals in July. Inter Hurlers face Setanta in Champo tonight at 7.15 in Russell Pk. Senior Hurlers face Trinity Gaels in Champo this Friday at 7.15pm. Inter Hurlers also in Champo vs Croabh Ciarans on Sat. Throw-in at 6pm in Russell Pk. Junior Hurlers also face Good Counsel in Champo on Thursday at 7.15 in Galtymore Rd. Big support needed for all teams. Hard luck to the U16 Footballers were narrolwy lost out to Lucan in their Champo Q-Final. Senior Ladies defeated Round Towers in Champo. Senior, Senior 2, Combined Inter, Junior A & B Football teams also advanced in the Champo. Club Golf Classic on Friday May 22nd in Royal Tara. Speedy recovery to John Dunning. Best wishes to John Twomey who sets off on his travels this Wednesday. Support our annual Barney McGarrell Cup opponents St Patrick's of Dromahair this Friday in the Celebrity Banisteoir Final. Throw-in at 7pm in Parnell Pk & admission is free. La Na Gael on this Sun in the club. Check the website for the days events.
