September 2009 Clubnotes - Week 5 - Tue, 29 Sep 2009

Hard luck to Colleen Barrett, Shorca Furlong, Katie Murphy, Elaine Kelly, Noelle Healy, Ailish McKenna & the Dublin Ladies on their All-Ireland Final loss. Time to get behind the Car Draw; tickets are available from Paddy Davey on 086-8229-312. This draw is very important to the club?s fundraising plans. Senior Camogie reached their 3rd successive Champo Final beating Ballinteer. The final vs Skerries will take place this weekend so check the website later this week. Minor Footballers beat St Sylvester?s to reach Champo Semi-Finals. Inter 2 Footballers had a good win over Kilmacud. Inter Hurlers beat Lucan. Best of Luck to our Ladies Senior Footballers who open their Leinster Champo Campaign on Sun at 3pm in Russell Pk. Big support needed. Senior 2 Footballers face St Pats (P) at 3.30 on Sat in O?Toole Pk in Champo Semi-Final. Senior 1?s face Na Fianna at 6pm on Sat in League in Mobhi Rd. Inter 1 Footballers face St Finians (N) at 6pm on Sat in Russell Pk while the Inter 2?s face Erins Isle at 6pm on Sat in Finglas. Congrats to Barry Cahill on his All-Star Nomination. Club Lotto takes place this Thursday in The Vineyard with a Jackpot of E12800.

Congrats to Eoin Kennedy & Egin Jenson who were crowned All-Ireland 60 * 30 Doubles Champions with a thrilling win on Sat in Croke Pk. Remember to keep selling tickets for our Car Draw. Senior Camogie reached the Champo Semi-Finals with a fine win over St Pats. They now face Ballinteer St Johns this Sun with Venue & Time TBC. Senior 2 Footballers beat Ballymun to setup a Champo Semi-Final clash vs St Pats(P) on Oct 2nd/3rd. Junior A Footballers face Clann Na Gael tonight at 8pm in Ringsend. Minor Footballers face St Slyvesters at 10.30 this Sun in Champo in Russell Pk. Big support needed after their great opening round win over Kilmacud. Best of luck to the Dublin Senior Ladies Footballers & our 6 panelists Colleen Barrett, Shorca Furlong, Katie Murphy, Elaine Kelly, Noelle Healy & Ailish McKenna this Sun vs Cork in the All-Ireland Football Final. Ticket Launch for the Car Draw which will fund the next phase of the Development will take place this Fri at 8pm in Russell Pk. Michael O'Muircheartaigh will be on-hand to do the honours. Congrats to the Senior Ladies Footballers who fought back brilliantly on Fri night in Parnell Pk to be crowned Intermediate Football Champions. We are all looking forward to the Leinster Campaign. The Minor Footballers opened their Champo group campaign with a tremendous win over Kilmacud in Siliver Pk. Best of Luck to Eoin Kennedy & Egin Jenson in the All-Ireland Doubles Final vs. Tom Sheridan & Brian Carroll of Meath. Eoin is the 3rd game on with the first game at 2.30pm. Draw for All-Ireland Football Final tickets will take place from 10pm on Thursday. Best of luck to the Senior 2 Footballers who face Ballymun this Sat at 5pm in Blakestown in their Champo Q-Final. Minor Hurlers also face Thomas Davis in Champo at 10.30 on Sun in Kiltipper Rd. Junior A Footballers game vs Clann Na Gael is off this Sun. Club Lotto is E12400 this Thursday in Russell Pk.

Best of luck to the Senior Ladies Footballers who face Garda this Fri at 6.45pm in Parnell Pk in their Champo Final. Get out there and support the girls. Congrats to Colleen Barrett, Sorcha Furlong, Elaine Kelly, Noelle Healy, Ailish McKenna & Katie Murphy in their All-Ireland Semi-Final win over Monaghan. Make sure you vote in the Etihad Club of the Year. Online Voting (www.etihadgaa.ie) will close on Wednesday at midnight. Senior Camogie retained their 100% Champo record beating Portobello. Minor Footballers face Kilmacud Crokes in Silver Pk at 10.30 on Sun in Champo. Inter 2 Footballers face St Judes in their Joy Cup Semi-Final replay on Sat at 6 in Tymon North. New dressing rooms will be open for viewing this Fri from 8pm ? 9pm. An important club meeting at 9.15pm will follow the viewing so it's important all members attend.
