January 2009 Clubnotes - Week 4 - Tue, 26 Jan 2010

A big thank you to all members who helped make last Thursday a great success. A crowd of nearly 2000 were in Russell Pk for both games. The annual club mass will take place on Monday Feb 1st in Russell Pk at 8pm. To officially open the new changing rooms, the Dublin Hurlers will play Tipperary in a challenge match on Saturday Feb 13th in Russell Pk under the lights. Club Nursery resumes this Saturday at 9.30am in Russell Pk. Well done to Sean Murray & Kevin Bonner on their displays vs. Meath on Sun. Best of luck in the replay on Wed. A major fundraiser will take place in the club on March 16th. The fundraiser will be a "White Collar Boxing" event between St Brigids & Plunketts. There will be 13 bouts in total. More details to follow. Club Lotto takes place in The Roselawn Inn this Thursday with a Jackpot of E15000. Our deepest sympathies are extended to the McCarthy Family on the recent passing of Liam. Liam was one of the club's greatest players.

A big night ahead on Thursday. The Dublin Senior Hurlers & Footballers are in action for the St Declan's 50th Anniversary celebrations. The hurling game throws in at 7pm with the football at 8.30pm. Car park access to Russell Pk is limited to players & management of the teams who have a car park pass. Members are asked to park in Beech Pk. A traffic plan is also available on the club website which details the available parking options. The Dublin Hurlers will also play Tipperary in a challenge match on Saturday February 13th in Russell Pk under the lights. Further details to follow soon. Club Nursery resumes this Saturday at 9.30am in Russell Pk. Well done to Sean Murray on his senior debut with the Dublin Footballers. Club Lotto takes place in Russell Pk this Thursday with a Jackpot of E15000. Our deepest sympathies are extended to the Roche & Wade on the recent passing of Breda Roche. Breda will be remembered fondly by all in the club.

The hurling & football re-grading window closes this Friday. Forms are available from the club website. Dublin Senior Hurlers & Footballers are in action in Russell Pk on Thursday Jan 21st for the St Declan?s 50th Anniversary celebrations. The hurling game throws in at 7pm with the football at 8.30pm. A large crowd is sure to be in attendance. Stewards are required to ensure the event runs smoothly. Please contact Chris Lynam on 087-747-6949 if interested in helping. Ciaran O?Reilly is the new hurling director along with Gerry McEntee as the football director. The best of luck to Declan Cahill who is moving to Canada. We are sorry to see you go. Best of Luck to members, teams, sponsors & mentors in 2010. Club calendar for 2010 is now available from the club bar. The Dublin Hurlers & Footballers will play in Russell Pk on Thursday Jan 21st. They will face St Declan's selections which contain many current & past Dublin players. The game is part of the 50th anniversary celebrations of St Declan's School. Its sure to be a great night. More information will be available on the club website later this week. Reminder to all members to sign up for the Vodafone GAA offer.
