April 2010 Clubnotes - Week 4 - Tue, 27 Apr 2010

St Brigids will host the 2011 Evening Herald Dubs Stars on Sat, Jan 1st. Its a great honour for the club to host such a prestigious event. Senior Hurlers open their Champo campaign this Wed vs. Cuala at 7pm in Russell Pk. Big support needed. Inter's face Naomh Barrog at 7pm on Wed in Pairc Barrog. Juniors face Finbars at 7pm on Thurs in Russell Pk. "Building for Future" club night was very informative and we would like to talk our guest speakers along with everyone in the club who helped produce a very professionally run night. Best of luck to Sean Murray, Gavin McIntyre, Cian Mullins, Alan McCarrick and the Dublin U21 Footballers this Saturday when they face Donegal in the All-Ireland Football Final. Throw-in at 7pm in Breffini Pk, Cavan. Senior Footballers beat St Annes while the Senior 2's drew with St Maurs. Inter Footballers beat Cuala in Junior "A" Champo while Junior B's beat Round Towers. Junior A's lost out narrowly to Plunketts. Ladies Junior Footballers had a good win over Crokes. Our 2 Feile teams are in Feile action this Sat. Russell Pk hosts our 2nd team who start off vs. St Peregerines at 10.45am while our first team play in Rush vs. St Sylvester's in their open game at 10.45am. Check website for further updates. Junior B Footballers face Craobh Charain in Champo this Tues at 7pm in Russell Pk. Senior & Inter Champo games scheduled for this week are off. Very important that members attend the "Building for Future" club night on this Wed at 8.30pm in the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Blanchardstown Centre. Among the guest speakers on the night are Billy Morgan (Nemo Rangers), Paul McGettigan (Corofin), Padraig McDonald (Kilmacud Crokes) & John McEntee (Crossmaglen Rangers). All members are urged to attend. Congrats to Sean Murray, Gavin McIntyre, Cian Mullins, Alan McCarrick and the Dublin U21 Footballers on reaching the All-Ireland Final. Well done to the U14 Ladies Footballers who reached the Feile Semi-Finals. Inter Footballers had a great Champo win over St Vincents while the Junior A's received a walkover. Senior Footballers face St Annes on Sat at 6.15 away. Senior 2's face St Maurs at 6.15 in Russell Pk. Junior A Footballers face Plunketts in Champo on Sun at 11 in Martin Savage Pk while the Inter's face Cuala in "A" Champo in Hyde Pk on Sun at 11. If the Junior B's win tonight, they face Round Towers© away at 3 on Sun. Club Lotto takes place in The Roselawn Inn this Thursday with a Jackpot of E4000. Reminder about special club night on Wed April 21 at 8pm in the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Blanchardstown Centre. Among the guest speakers on the night are Billy Morgan (Nemo Rangers), Paul McGettigan (Corofin), Padraig McDonald (Kilmacud Crokes) & John McEntee (Crossmaglen Rangers). All members are urged to attend. Senior Hurlers & Junior A Footballers had good league wins over Kilmacud. Minor Footballers beat St Annes. U15 Hurlers beat St Kevins. Junior Ladies Footballers beat St Finians Swords. U14 Ladies Footballers beat Castleknock Best of luck to our Ladies U14 Footballers in Feile this Sat. They start off at 10am this Sat in Blakestown vs Peregrines followed by their 2nd game at 10.50 vs Sygne St. Junior Champo on Sun. 'A' Champo at 11 vs Vincents in Russell Pk. 'B' Champo vs St Margarets at 11 in Russell Pk. Junior 'C' vs Craobh Charain at 3pm in Russell Pk. Senior Footballers face Cuala at 6.45 on Fri in Russell in League. Senior 2s face St Pats(P) away on Fri at 6.45. Club Lotto takes place in Russell Pk this Thursday with a Jackpot of E3800. Congrats to Elizabeth Wright on winning the E15,000 Jackpot

Congrats to Sean Murray, Gavin McIntyre, Cian Mullins, Alan McCarrick and the Dublin U21 Footballers on their Leinster Final truimph over Westmeath. Well done to Eoin Kennedy who reached the final of the Ektelon/WPH Fireball Classic in New Mexico, USA. Eoin knocked out 2 of the top 3 seeds on route to the final. Special club night will take place on Wed April 21 in Crowne Plaza Hotel Blanchardstown Centre. The club is developing a strategy for the coming years to get our Juvenile section back blossoming. Among the guest speakers on the night are Billy Morgan (Nemo Rangers), Paul McGettigan (Corofin), Padraig McDonald (Kilmacud Crokes) & John McEntee (Crossmaglen Rangers). All members are urged to attend. Inter Hurlers had a great win over Fingallians in League. Sdenior Hurlers face Kilmacud Crokes this Sat at 6pm in Russell Pk.
