February 2010 Clubnotes - Week 3 - Tue, 23 Feb 2010

Club Presentation night takes place this Saturday evening. Tickets are E20 with a full sit down meal provided & are available on 0872879233. A great night is in store with live music & plenty of spot prizes on offer. Over 300 tickets sold so far. Congrats to Paddy Andrews on captaining DCU to their O Byrne Cup victory. Best of luck to Paddy (DCU) and Colin Freeman, Colm Carr & Cian Mullins (Maynooth) in their Sigerson Cup semi-finals this Friday. Well done to Luke Purtell & Sean O Malley on their selection for the Dublin North U14 Hurling panel. Inter Footballers had a good Cup win over O Dwyers while the Junior B's lost out to Finbars. Adult Football leagues commence this Sunday. The clash of our Senior 1 & 2 Footballers has been moved back to Sun at 11pm. Inter Footballers face Lusk away at 11. Junior A's face St Annes in Bohernabreena at 11. Junior Bs face St Maurs in Rush at 11. Junior Cs face Crumlin at 2.45 in Russell Pk. Minor Hurlers face St Marks at 11 in Russell Pk. Club Lotto takes place in The Roselawn this Thursday with a Jackpot of E15000.

February 2009 Clubnotes - Week 2 - Tue, 16 Feb 2010

Month's mind for Breda Roche takes place this Sun at 7pm in St Brigids Church in Blanchardstown. Congrats to our Senior Hurlers who were promoted to AHL 1 based on results from Sun. Official opening of new changing rooms & hurling was a great success with Christy Cooney & Gerry Harrington on hand to do the honours. A very large crowd attended both games as Tipp just overcame Dublin. Club Presentation night takes place on Sat Feb 27th. Tickets are E20 with a full sit down meal provided & are available on 0872879233. Hard luck to Sean O Sullivan, Alan Nolan & Aodhan McEnerney on their Walsh Cup Final defeat to Galway. Well done to Kevin Bonner & Dublin on their win over Derry. Senior Footballers beat Vincents in the cup while our Senior 1, Junior 1 & 3 footballers were edged out. Senior 1 & 2 plus Inter 2 Footballers in action in Russell Pk on Sun morning from 11am. Our Intermediate footballers travelled to Clonakilty over the weekend and would like to thank Clonakilty GAA club for their hospitalty and an exillerating game on Saturday afternoon. A great weekend was had by all. Club Lotto takes place in Russell Pk this Thursday with a Jackpot of E15000.

February 2009 Clubnotes - Week 1 - Wed, 10 Feb 2010

Official opening of the new changing rooms & hurling wall will take place this Sat. Proceedings will get underway at 5.15pm with the Dublin Camogie team facing Kilkenny. DCB Chairman Gerry Harrington will open the new facilities at 6.30pm followed by the clash of the Dublin Hurlers & Tipperary at 7.30pm. This will be followed by live music in the bar. Club Presentation night takes place on Sat Feb 27th. Tickets are E20 with a full sit down meal provided & are available on 0872879233. Well done to Sean O?Sullivan, Alan Nolan & Aodhan McEnerney who reached the Walsh Cup Final beating Wexford. They are due to play Galway on Sunday in Parnell Pk in the final. A major fundraiser will take place in the club on March 16th. The fundraiser will be a "White Collar Boxing" event between St Brigids & Plunketts. There will be 13 bouts in total. Club Lotto takes place in Russell Pk this Thursday with a Jackpot of E15000.
