September 2010 Clubnotes - Week 3 - Thu, 2 Sep 2010

Congrats to Shona Barrett & Sarah Fay and the Dublin B Ladies Footballers on their All-Ireland Final victory over Cork. Best of luck to Colleen Barrett, Sorcha Furlong, Elaine Kelly, Noelle Healy, Ailish McKenna & the Dublin Ladies Footballers on Sun on their All-Ireland Final vs. Tyrone at 4pm in Croke Pk. Minor Footballers came back from 9 points down at half time to defeat St Pats (P) in Champo. Senior Hurlers reached the Champo Q-Finals defeating Lucan with a terrific display. Inter Hurlers were beaten by Thomas Davis while the Juniors received a walkover from O Dwyers. Senior 1 & 2 Footballers in Champo this Fri in Parnell Pk. Senior 2s face St Pats (D) in IFC Q-Final at 6.40pm while the Senior 1s face UCD at 8.15pm in the SFC Q-Final. Junior B Footballers in Promotion decider vs. Na Fianna this Tues at 7.30pm in Russell Pk. Junior As face Inisfails at 7.30pm in Russell Pk on Wed. Inters face Crumlin at 5.30pm in League on Sat in Russell Pk. Minor Hurlers in Champo on Sun at 11 vs. St Sylvesters in Russell Pk. Lotto draw with a jackpot of E7800 takes place this Thurs in The Roselawn Inn. Special thanks to everyone who helped with the All-Ireland Forecast Competition. Result to be announced soon.

Congrats to Colleen Barrett, Sorcha Furlong, Elaine Kelly, Noelle Healy, Ailish McKenna & the Dublin Ladies Footballers on their tremendous All-Ireland Final victory over Tyrone. It is without doubt the girls are All-Ireland medal holders due to the great work of their mentors down through the years. Senior & Inter Footballers reached the Champo Semi-Final with wins over UCD & St Pats (D). They will now face Oliver Plunketts and Naomh Barrog or Scoil Ui Chonail on the week ending Oct 10th. Inter & Junior A Footballers had good league wins over Crumlin & Inisfails. U12 Footballers were crowned Div1 champions after their win over Ballymun on Sat. U14 & U15 Hurlers also had league & champo wins over Crumlin & Ballinteer. Senior Hurlers in Champo Q-Final this Sat vs. Kilmcud at 5.15pm in Parnell Pk. Inter Hurlers face St Peregrines at 3pm on Sun in Champo Relegation P/O. Minor Footballers face Naomh Barrog away on Sun at 11 in Champo. Big support needed. Lotto draw with a jackpot of E7800 takes place this Friday in Myo's. Please note the change of day. Our deepest sympathies are extended to the Carr family on their recent loss.

A terrific performance from our Inter Footballers saw them crowned Junior A Champions, defeating St Judes in the final. Well done to Noel, Dave Alan & Damien. It was great to see such good support in Parnell Pk. Hard luck to the Junior B Footballers who lost out to St Vincents in their final. The lads never got going at all. Good Champo wins for our Senior & Senior 2 Footballers over St Judes & Kilmacud Crokes. U16 Hurlers played out a thrilling Champo Q-Final draw with St Vincents after extra-time. U15 Hurlers had a good league win over Castleknock. U12 Footballers had a very good win over Erins Isle U12B's beat Scoil Ui Chonail. U11s beat St Peregerines. U15 Footballers face Ballyboden in Champo Q-Final this Sun at 11.30 in Cherryfield. Minor Footballers face St Pats(P) in Champo on Sun at 10.30 in Russell Pk. Senior Hurlers face Lucan in their final Champo group game at 5.45pm in Russell Pk. Inter Hurlers face Thomas Davis at 5.45 on Sat in Russell Pk. Junior Hurlers face O'Dwyers on Sun at 10.30 in Balbriggin. Hard luck to Eoin Kennedy & Egin Jenson who lost out narrowly in the All-Ireland 60*30 Semi-Final. Club Lotto in Russell Pk this Thurs with a jackpot of 7400. It?s that time of the year again, All-Ireland Football Final Forecast Competition. Eoin Kennedy continues to defy logic winning his 7th straight 60 * 30 All-Ireland Singles title on Saturday evening. Eoin defeated Robbie McCarthy in a thrilling final 21-20, 21-15. Eoin is true credit to the club. All roads lead to Parnell Pk this Sun as our Junior B & Inter Footballers contest the Junior 'C' & Junior 'A' Finals. Our Junior Bs face St Vincents at 2pm while the Inters face St Judes at 3.30pm. Big support needed. Senior Footballers face St Judes/Thomas Davis in Champo on Sun at 11am in O Toole Pk. Senior 2s face Na Fianna in Champo this Wed at 8.15pm in Balgriffin. U15 Footballers had a good Champo win over Naomh Barrog. U16 Hurlers defeated Na Fianna in their top 4 Play-off. U13 Footballers beat Clanna Gael Fontenoy. Minor Footballers went down narrowly to Cuala. Our U16 Hurlers face St Vincents this Sat at 3.30pm in Champo this Sat in Russell Pk. Minor Hurlers face Kilmacud in Champo on Sun at 11 in Silver Pk. Inter Hurlers had a very good Champo victory over Trinity Gaels. Senior Hurlers went down narrowly to Craobh & Judes.
