January 2011 Clubnotes - Week 3 - Tue, 25 Jan 2011

Membership Registration Day will take place in the club this Sun from 12 to 6pm. It is very important all members are paid up. Annual club mass will take place on Tues Feb 1st at 8pm in Russell Pk. Congrats to Eoin Kennedy on beating Robbie McCarthy to win the annual John Gaffney Memorial tournament. U21 Footballers beat Good Counsel to reach the Champo Q-Final where they face Craobh Chiarain at 2.30pm this Sat in Clonshaugh. Big support needed. Well done to Sean Murray, Barry Cahill, Declan Lally, Paddy Andrews & Kevin Bonner on their O Byrne Sheild win over Offaly. Best of luck on Sat vs Meath/Laois at 7.30pm in Parnell Pk. The White Collar Boxing versus Plunketts takes place on March 16th. We are looking for boxers; contact 087-645-9571 if you are interested in taking part. Congrats to Daire Plunkett on his Senior Hurling debut for Dublin vs Antrim. Best of luck to Alan & Daire on Sat (5.30pm) vs. Galway. Congrats to Luke Purtill on being selected for the U14 Dublin Colleges. Lotto draw will take place this Friday in Myo?s Castleknock with a jackpot of E10200. U21 Footballers in Champo action this Sat vs. Good Counsel at 2.30pm in Russell Pk. Big support needed. Hard luck to St Brigids Castleknock on their Croke Pk defeat to Belgrove. Congrats to Paul Winters, Dara Doyle & Ronan McKenna who were part of the Dublin North Hurling team who advanced in the Leinster Senior 'A' Colleges Champo. Paul scored 0-7. Well done to our ladies footballers and Camogie players who played in the Ozo Dub Stars. Hard luck to Mick Cussen, Cian O?Mahony & Aodhan McEnerney & Fingal lost out to a last minute goal to Wicklow in the Kehoe Cup. Well done to Sean Murray, Barry Cahill, Declan Lally & Kevin Bonner on their O?Byrne Cup win over Wexford. Best of luck on Sun vs Offaly at 7pm in Parnell Pk. The Micheal O Muircheartaigh tribute night was a fantastic success with the club packed to the rafters on Sat. It was a brilliant night with legends of the game such as Jack O'Shea, Babs Keating, Paddy Cullen and many more in attendence. Well done to all involved. It was a tremendous team effort by all. Lotto draw will resume on Thursday week with a jackpot of E10000 in The Roselawn Inn. Well done to Daire Plunkett on his good displays for the Dublin Hurlers in their recent challenge games. Well done to Mick Cussen, Cian O Mahony & Aodhan McEnerney who were part of the Fingal team who beat Trinity to progress in the Kehoe Cup. Best of luck to Sean Murray & Kevin Bonner this evening against Westmeath in their rescheduled O?Byrne Cup tie. Best of luck to St Brigids of Castleknock in their Cumamn Na Bunscoil Final this week in Croke Pk.
