August 2011 Clubnotes - Week 5 - Tue, 30 Aug 2011

The All-Ireland Football Score Forecast Competition is back again! Score sheets can be picked up from behind the bar or by contacting John Fleming on 087-269-7208. Well done to Eoin Kennedy who advanced to the 60*30 All-Ireland Handball Final beating Dessie Keegan. Eoin goes for his 8th straight 60*30 Title this Sat in Abbeylara. He faces Robbie McCarthy in a repeat of last years final. Congrats to Barry, Sean, Declan and the Dublin Footballers on their hard fought win over Donegal. Congrats to the Minor Footballers as well. Best of luck to Paul Winters and the Dublin Minor Hurlers this Sun vs Galway in the All-Ireland Final. There will be raffle for tickets for All-Ireland Hurling Final tickets this Thurs in Russell Pk. Members must be present on the night to receive tickets. Make sure you have your 2011 Membership paid. The same rules will apply for the All-Ireland Football Final. Hard luck to the Junior Camogie Girls who lost out to Faughs in their Championship Final. Big thanks for everyone who helped club coaches John O Loughin & Paul O Brien with the hugely successful Summer Camps. Club Lotto returns from its summer break this Thurs in Russell Pk with a Jackpot of E15000. Club night at the dogs will take place on Fri Oct 21st in Harolds Cross.

August 2011 Clubnotes - Week 4 - Tue, 23 Aug 2011

Well done to Daire Plunkett and the Dublin U21s who reached the All-Ireland U21 Hurling Final. Well done to Eoin Kennedy who advanced to the 60*30 All-Ireland Handball Semi-Finals. Eoin faces a Semi-Final showdown vs Dessie Keegan this Sat. Best of luck to Barry, Sean, Declan and the Dublin Footballers vs. Donegal this Sun. The Junior Camogie Girls face Faughs this Sat at 1pm in Naomh Mearnog in their Championship Final. Big support needed. Hard luck to Aisling McKenna, Colleen Barrett, Sorcha Furlong, Elaine Kelly & Noelle Healy who narrowly lost out to Cork. Senior Footballers had a good league win vs St Vincents. Club Lotto is on its summer break and will resume on Sept 1st with a Jackpot of E15000. Club night at the dogs will take place on Fri Oct 21st in Harolds Cross. Our deepest sympathies are extended to the family of James Foran (Chairman of the Dublin CCC) who passed away yesterday

The ticket book for the Dublin vs Donegal in All-Ireland Semi-Final will close this Wed night. Members are advised to put them name down straight away to avoid disappointment. Hard luck to Alan & Daire on their defeat to Tipp. Best of luck to Daire vs Antrim this Sat in the All-Ireland U21 Semi-Final. Senior Footballers face Plunketts on Sun at 10.30 in Martin Savage Pk. Senior 2s face Peregerines in Blakestown on Sun at 10.30. Jun A & Jun B Footballers also play League games on Sun at 12 in Russell Pk. Club Lotto is on its summer break and will resume on Sept 1st with a Jackpot of E15000. Check out the plans for the new grass pitch on the club website. The fundraising drive will commence this Autumn. Well done to Barry, Declan, Sean & the Dublin Footballers on their All-Ireland Q-Final win over Tyrone. Also well done to Noelle, Ailish, Sorcha, Elaine & Colleen on their victory over Galway. Well done to Shona Barrett who played for the Dublin B team who beat Meath. Best of luck to Paul Winters with the Dublin Minor Hurlers on Sun vs Waterford.
