March 2011 Clubnotes - Week 5 - Tue, 29 Mar 2011

Our deepest sympathies are extended to Gerry McEntee & his family on the loss of his father last week. We need your old mobile phones. To get a second defibrillator, the club needs 360 old phones. We currently have 50 collected so far. Please drop them into collection point in the club bar. Senior 1 & 2 Footballers were edged out by Fingal Ravems & O Tooles. Inters beat Thomas Davis with Junior 1s going down to Wanderers. Junior 7s beat Ballyfermot while no ref turned up for the Jun 3 game. Hard luck to Daire Plunkett & Alan Nolan against Galway. Daire playing well scoring 0-3. U13B Hurlers edged out Boden. U15 Hurlers edge out St Johns. U16 Hurlers beat Setanta. Senior Hurlers face Boden in League away at 10.30 on Sun. Inter Hurlers face Trinity Gaels away at 10.30. Junior Hurlers face Olafs in Russell Pk at 12. Minor Footballers face Thomas Davis at 10.30 in Russell Pk. Plenty of Cup Football actions on Sun as well, Senior 2s face Annes at 10.30 away. Inters face Davis away at 10.30. Jun 1s face Clontarf at 12 in Russell. Jun 3s face Cuala at 12 in Russell. Club Lotto takes place in Myos this Friday with a Jackpot of E12000.

March 2011 Clubnotes - Week 4 - Tue, 22 Mar 2011

The Boxing Night was a huge success with over 750 attending the sell out event. It finished all square 6 bouts a peice. Well done to all the boxers on their terrific commitment to the training schedule over the past few weeks. Well done to all the organisers. Congrats to Ken Nyhan and his Dublin U14 Girls team who made it 2 from 2 in the Leinster Champo. We need your old mobile phones. To get a second defibrillator, the club needs 360 old phones. Please drop them into collection point in the club bar. Senior Hurlers were edged out by Vincents, Inters drew with St Finians(S) and Juniors beat Round Towers©. U13 Footballers beat Crokes, U14's beat Plunketts, U15's beat Slys, U16's lost to Cuala. Best of luck to Daire Plunkett & Alan Nolan on Sun vs Galway. Well done to Barry Cahill, Declan Lally, Paddy Andrews, Sean Murray & Kevin Bonner on their win over Mayo. Senior Footballers face Fingal Ravens in League in Rolestown at 10.30 on Sun. Senior 2's face O'Tooles away. Inters face Thomas Davis in Russell at 10.30. Jun A's are away to Ballyboden Wanderers at 12. Jun B's face St Vincents in Russell at 12. Jun C's face Ballyfermot at 3pm in Russell. Club Lotto takes place in The Roselawn Inn this Thursday with a Jackpot of E11800.

Well done to all those involved in organising the First Year (U14) Secondary School Blitz in Russell Park last Wed. Over 210 boys & girls from 6 local secondary schools participated in football, hurling and camogie competitions. Special thanks to all members volunteering their spare time.
