November 2011 Clubnotes - Week 5 - Tue, 29 Nov 2011

Another huge weekend for the club with our Senior Footballers facing Portlaoise on Sun in the Leinster Championship Semi-Final at 2pm in Parnell Pk. Members are urged to get your Santa Suits for E4 in Pennys in the Blanchardstown Centre for Sun. There will be spot prizes for the best dressed Juvenile (E40 voucher) and Adult (E60 voucher) supporter on Sun. Congrats to our Minor Hurlers on their terrific Champo Final Victory over St Vincents. Well done to Paddy, Gerry & Mickey on their superb achievement. The club AGM scheduled for this Sun has been postponed due to the Senior Footballers game. The AGM will now take place on Sun January 8th. Minor Footballers Champo Final vs. Lucan will now take place on Sun Dec 11th at 11am in the 12th Lock. Congrats to Elaine Kelly & Aisling King on their Dublin Senior & Minor Player of the Year awards. Hard luck to Jack O Neill and Michael Varley on their Leinster Final 40 * 20 Handball defeat. With more than E55k already raised, we need a final push for the E100k target. We have collected 180 old mobile phones so far. We need 20 more to get our new AED. No matter how old the phone is please drop it into the club bar. New opening hours for our new club shop. Friday 7pm - 8pm and Sat 10am to 11.30am. Club Lotto takes place in Myo?s this Friday with a Jackpot of E15000. Congrats to Joe Twomey & Seamus Bonner on their recent marriages to Vikki & Ann Marie

Well done to our Senior Footballers who beat Horeswood of Wexford to reach the Leinster Championship Semi-Finals. They now face Portlaoise in two weeks time in Parnell Park on Dec 4th. The break will definitely be welcome. The support was great last Sun. Remember to get your Santa Suits for ?4 in Pennys in the Blanchardstown Centre for the next game. Best of luck to our Minor Hurlers who face St Vincents this Sun in their Champo Final. Throw-in at 11 in Pairc Nh Unnsion. Big support needed. On Sat from 10:00 to 12:00, Dental Technologist Dave Geraghty is coming to the club to fit/size people for gum shields. This is a great opportunity to protect your teeth. With more than E55k already raised, we need a final push for the E100k target. We have collected 165 old mobile phones so far. We need 35 more to get our new AED. No matter how old the phone is please drop it into the club bar. New opening hours for our new club shop. Friday 7pm - 8pm and Sat 10am to 11.30am. Club Lotto takes place in Russell Pk this Thursday with a Jackpot of E15000. Club AGM takes place on Sun Dec 4th.

Congrats to Elaine Kelly on her Football All-Star Award; a terrific achievement. Our Senior Footballers beat Summerhill and now face Horeswood of Wexford at 2.30pm in Parnell Pk on Sun. The support was great last Sun. Remember to get your Santa Suits for E4 in Pennys in the Blanchardstown Centre. Congrats to Donal Timoney & Jack O Neill on winning the Dublin U14 40 by 20 Handball Doubles. Ciaran O Flanagan & Tom Mulvey were narrowly beaten in the U12 Final. Hard luck to our Inter Footballers who were edged out by a point by Crokes in their Promotion Play-off. Our Senior 2 Footballers had a good league win over St Marks. Minor Hurlers reached the Champo Final with a fine win over St Judes. Hard luck to our U14 Girls who suffered a heart breaking Champo Final defeat to Crokes after extra time. On Sat 26th Nov from 10:00 to 12:00, Dental Technologist Dave Geraghty is coming to the club to fit/size people for gum shields. All roads lead to Navan this Sun as our Newly Crowned County Champions face Summerhill of Meath in the Leinster Club Championship after their tremendous victory over St Oliver Plunketts in the County Final. Throw-in at 2.30pm in Pairc Tailteann. Congrats to the players & management on their superb victory. We are all so proud of you. It was great to see our huge support decked out in their club colours. Congrats to our Ladies Minor Footballers ran out convincing winners over Castleknock in their Champo Final. Minor Footballers also reached the Champo Final beating Peregrines. Inter Footballers narrowly beat Scoil Ui Chonail to secure a promotion play-off where they will face Kilmacud Crokes on Sun at 11 in Russell Pk. Minor Hurlers face Judes in Champo Semi-Final on Sun at 11 in Russell Pk. With more than E50k already raised, we need a final push for the E100k target. Foundation & Level One coaching Courses will take place in Nov. This is a great opportunity for mentors to pick up more skills. Check out the club website for more info. All roads lead to Parnell Pk this Sun as our Senior Footballers face Oliver Plunketts in the County Final at 3.30pm. Make sure you check out the club website for further details this week. There will be a big drive to make sure everyone is decked out in red & white plus transport details. Make sure you get signed up for the new pitch scheme. With more than E50k already raised, we need a final push for the E100k target. Minor Ladies Footballers face Castleknock in Champo Final this Friday at 7pm in Newcastle. U14 Ladies Footballers face Crokes in Champo Final this Sun at 2.15pm in Russell Pk. Senior Hurlers face Na Fianna in League on Sat at 3pm in Mobhi. Senior 2 Footballers face St Marks on Sat at 3pm in Russell Pk. Some of the adult games may not go ahead due to the county final clash of players. Foundation & Level One coaching Courses will take place in Nov. This is a great opportunity for mentors to pick up more skills. Check out the club website for more info.
