September 2011 Clubnotes - Week 4 - Tue, 27 Sep 2011

New opening hours for our new club shop. Friday 7pm - 8pm and Sat 10am to 11.30am. New club boots will be on sale from Oct 1st. Senior Hurlers had a fantastic Champo win over Craobh. Junior Hurlers had a good league win over Na Fianna. U13A & B Footballers beat Ballyboden & Lucan. U16 Footballers beat St Vincents. Minor Footballers O Tooles in Champo. Inter Footballers beat Crokes in League. Senior Footballers face Na Fianna in Champo this Sat at 5.30pm in Parnell Pk. U16 Hurlers face Thomas Davis in Champo Q-Final this Sat at 3.30pm in Russell Pk. U15 Hurlers face Lucan in Champo Semi this Sun at 11.30 in the 12th Lock. Inter Footballers face St Peregrines in Junior 'A' Champo Q-Final this Sun at 11 in Blakestown. The Junior A Footballers Junior 'B' Q-Final scheduled for this Sun has been moved to next Tues at 8pm in Russell Pk. Minor Hurlers face Vincents in Champo this Sun at 11 in Russell Pk. Club Lotto takes place in Myo's Castleknock this Friday with a Jackpot of E15000. We have collect 110 old mobile phones so far. We need 90 more to get our new AED. No matter how old the phone is please drop it into the club bar. Spleodar Irish club continues this Thurs from 7pm-9pm in hall. Club night at the dogs will take place on Fri Oct 21st in Harolds Cross. Our deepest sympathies are extended to the Crehan family on their recent loss. A quiz will held in the club this Friday from 8.30pm in aid of several volunteers going to help the poor in Calcutta

Congrats to Barry Cahill, Declan Lally, Sean Murray and the Dublin Senior Footballers on their tremendous All-Ireland victory over Kerry. Special thanks has to go to all the mentors right from Nursery to Adult level who made this possible. Inter Footballers had a good Champo win over Craobh Charain. Senior Hurlers face Craobh Chiarain in Champo this Sat at 4pm in Parnell Pk. Big support needed. Ladies Junior Footballers claimed a brilliant Junior Football Championship with a last minute goal in extra time. Well done to all involved. Hard luck to Shona Barrett and Sarah Fay who lost out to Cork in the Aisling McGing Final. U13A & B Hurlers had good league wins over Slys & Clontarf. U15 Hurlers claimed a good extra time win over Finbars. Club Lotto takes place in The Roselawn Inn this Thurs with a Jackpot of E15000. Club night at the dogs will take place on Fri Oct 21st in Harolds Cross.

'Up for Match' Special this Sat night in the club bar with the Sean Garvey Band and plenty of craic. A great way to warm up for the big game. There will be raffle for All-Ireland Football Final tickets this Thurs at 9.30pm sharp in Russell Pk. Make sure you have your 2011 Membership paid. The guidelines for the draw are available on the club website. Please be aware there is a very limited amount of tickets. For people not lucky enough to get tickets, all drinks will be E3 on Sun during the duration of the game. Inter Footballers face Craobh Charain in Champo this Sat at 6pm in Clonshaugh. Big support needed. Well done to our U13 Footballers & U14 Footballers who beat Sylvesters and Kilmacud in League. U16s were just edged out by Crokes. Congrats to our U12,U14 & U16 Girls who all had good Champo wins. Well done to our Ladies Junior Footballers who beat Kilmacud to reach the Champo Final. Our Junior Hurlers were just edged out by St Maurs in their Champo Q-Final. Best of luck to Sean, Barry, Declan and the Dublin Minor & Senior Footballers in their finals this Sun. The All-Ireland Football Score Forecast Competition is back again! Score sheets can be picked up from behind the bar or by contacting John Fleming on 087-269-7208. Well done to our U13 Hurlers who were promoted to Div 1 next year with 2 games remaining. They beat Lucan & Castleknock last week to secure promotion. Our U16 Hurlers beat Whitehall in their top four play-off. Hard luck to Eoin Kennedy who lost out to Robbie McCarthy in his bid for 8 in a row. Best of luck to Daire Plunkett and the Dublin U21 Hurlers in their All-Ireland Final this Sat. Hard to Paul Winters and the Dublin Minor Hurlers on their loss to Galway. Congrats to Sarah Fay, Shona Barrett & the Dublin Ladies Senior B Footballers on reaching the Aisling McGing All-Ireland Final. Junior Ladies Footballers take on Crokes this Wed in Champo Semi-Final in Russell Pk at 6.45pm. Inter Footballers face Crokes in League this Wed in Russell Pk in League. Junior Hurlers take on Maurs in Rush this Sun at 11 in Champo Q-Final. There will be raffle for tickets for All-Ireland Football Final tickets on Thurs Sept 15th in Russell Pk.
