Played in excellent conditions, St Brigids proved much too strong for a spirited St Olafs side.

Having settled early St Brigids started putting scores on the board with points from Daire Plunkett and goals from Philip Carroll, Darren Reynolds and Ronan Callaghan. The midfield contribution was a telling factor with Paul Clerkin in sparkling form and Alan Mc Carrick giving strong support. The half back line wasn't found wanting either with both Sean Brady and Conor Woodgate getting in some vital tackles and Jamie Winters leading by example with some excellent clearances. The full back line was left with very little to do but did nothing wrong leaving Brendan Roche with a very quiet day.

All in all a very polished performance by this young St Brigids side. They Certainly got their U13 League off to a flying start. Long may it last!

Team:  Brendan Roche, Philip Mc Entee, Sean Murray, Dillon Casey, Sean Brady, Jamie Winters, Conor Woodgate, Paul Clerkin, Alan Mc Carrick, Daire Plunkett, Philip Carroll, Ronan Callaghan, Conor Brennan, Eoghan O'Brien, Darren Reynolds.

Subs:  Niall Myron for Alan Mc Carrick  (40) Barry O'Connell for Darren Reynolds  (40
