Feile Hurlers Semi-Final Report - Wed, 12 May 2004

St Brigid?s 2 - 7    Kilmacud Crokes 1 ? 4

This Northside ? Southside semi final encounter got off to a quiet start with both teams taking the measure of each other. Brigid?s scored an early goal through Daire Plunkett and had a second one shortly afterwards controversially disallowed. At the interval St Brigid?s led by 2 points and were struggling to widen the lead despite an excellent point from play by Conor Carton.

The pace increased significantly in the second half with Brigid?s defending superbly led by a man of the match performance from Jamie Winters. A second disallowed goal for Brigid?s did not deter them from fighting on and a well worked goal from Conor Brennan and great tackling from Alan Waters were among the highlights of the second half which in the end Brigid?s won well running out winners with a 6 point lead.

In the other semi final Balyboden had an easy win over Erin?s isle to set up a Final rematch between St Brigid?s and Ballyboden  for 7:30PM on Sunday in Dublin?s home ground at Parnell Park.
