Paddy Andrews scores 2 Goals as Dublin U16's Defeat Carlow - Sat, 23 Oct 2004

Dublin 4-11 Carlow 0-6

Dublin U16 footballers accounted for a poor Carlow team in the U16 Leinster football tournament played on Wednesday afternoon in Dr Cullen Park, Carlow.

Paddy Andrews, younger brother of Peadar hit the net twice in the first half from full-forward. He was ably assisted by Patrick O'Connor who also goaled in the opening period to leave the Dubs leading at half time by 3-4 to 0-6 having played into the very strong wind.

The second half was a mere formality and it gave the management team an opportunity to try out some of their panel. One of the substitutes, Colin McCarthy found the net when introduced to add to Carlow's woes and the opposition finished the half wihout adding to their half-time tally of six points.
