U21 Footballers ease past Lucan in Championship - Sat, 26 Nov 2005

St Brigids 4-8 Lucan Sarsfields 1-7

Well done to the Lads on a superb win in the opening round of the Championship. They were slow to start against a gale force wind with driving rain in their face's. They soon found their stride as Des Carolan & the superb Paddy Andrews notched up two goals in a five minute spell. Lucan failed to capitalise on several oppuritunites with the aid of the wind in the opening half and only led by 1 point at half time. They were made to pay the price in the opening fifteen minutes of the 2nd half. St Brigids blitzed them and led by 7 points within fifteen minutes. Willie Tyrell & Paddy Andrews finding the net & James Brogan calmly slotting over two points.
