In their first game of the season St. Brigid's looked very sharp in this challenge game against Na Fianna. The game was played in perfect conditions with Emma Loane, Eileen Quinlan, Eimear Davey, Marie Hegarty, Caoimhe Enright and Sarah Hawkeshaw playing very solidly in the backs. J. Martin kept a clean sheet in goals and goals from Laura Skehan, Emma Lyons and Ruth Dargan left Brigid's with a 3-0 to 0-0 score at half time.

Na Fianna had hard triers in Niamh Q uinn, Ciara Sperin, Eimear Duff, Caitriona Walsh, and Ciara Varszegi who played valiantly throughout. Aine Ni Mhurchu and Laura Skehan dominated midfield while Siobhan Cahill, Helen Sweeney, Deirdre Murphy, Sinead O'Farrell, Aisling Galvin, Emma Skehan and Emma Lyons with three more goals, proved too lively for the opposition. A super start to the season.
