St Brigids 4-08 Whitehall Colmcilles 1-05

St Brigids powered pass Whitehall in this Division two league match after slipping up in their first league against Parnells.This was a close encounter until St Brigids took control with five minutes to go in the first half. Brigids opened the with the first point from Alan Mc Carrick and then five minutes later Whitehall scored a goal.

Then both teams exchanged points and five minutes later Whitehall got an other point. Gerry Gallagher man of the match in the first half for Brigids sent a long ball into Ciaran Kellett,who in turn passed it to Maurice Sweeney and he sent it into the Whitehall net. The game stepped up a gear with five minutes to go in the first half when Brigids were behind by a point. Gerry Gallagher scored a great goal to send Brigids into the lead,another goal was scored within a minute for Brigids by Aodhan Mc Enerney. The first half ended with the score 3-4 to St Brigids and 1-4 to Whitehall.

The second half opened well for Brigids with two points from Gerry Gallagher and two from Aodhan Mc Enerney.These scores more or less sealed this match for Brigids.Whitehall added one point and Brigids finishing with a good goal from Ciaran Kellett.Joe Jordan the centre back for Brigids was man of match in the second half.
