Junior 8 Footballers defeat Ballyfermot in top of the table clash - Fri, 10 Jun 2005

St Brigid's 2-8 Ballyfermot De La Salle 0-9

St.Brigids started off slowly against a strong and well organised Ballyfermot side but eventually got into full swing in the second half. Some fine fielding by Stan Kevlehan & Ian Craven laid the foundations for a well deserved victory. Some fine defensive work by John Dunning & brother Stephen kept Ballyfermot a bay while wing backs Brian Kelly & Pearse O Connor attacked at any given oppurtunity. The sides were level at 4 points each at the break but St Brigids came out a different and their movement & passing was exceptional with Keith Fox & Enda Brady leading the line very well. Andy Kavanagh was a constant threat at wing forward while Kenny Reilly and Keith Morris proved lethal as ever in the full forward line. Well done lads, keep up the good work.
