U-10 Footballers Get the New Season off to a Great Staff - Thu, 31 Aug 2006

St.Brigids U-10's got off to a great start to the new season with a fine win against a decent Whitehall side. Sean O'Malley set the tempo for the game with an early point and from then on Brigids were on top.

Shane Hourihane was on fire at centre-back, while Conor Brown, Conor Feeney and James Griffin were resolute in defence. David Fraine, Tadhg Brannigan and Sean O'Malley worked tirelessy in midfield while up front Luke Purtil, Donal McConville and Padhairc Courtney got some smart scores. In the other game a fine peformance by the hard working Colin Murphy and an ever improving Ciaran Meade lay the foundation for another fine Brigid's victory.

Michael Courtney, Anthony Healy, Ian McQuillan, Alex Fowler and Donal Timoney all contributed to the free scoring forwards. In defence Daragh O'Neill, lead a rock solid defence along with William O'Brien, Stephen Murphy, and Geoff Brooks.

Overall a fine performance from the boys of Dublin 15
