St Brigids Junior C Footballers under Chris Lynam & Keith O'Neill's stewardship kept their 2006 League campaign on track with an impressive victory over Croi Ro Naofa in this top of the table clash. St Brigids dominated for long periods and they started brightly. Croi Ro Naofa could not find the gears necessary to match St Brigids superior fitness and football ability. St Brigids forward line impressed with slick passages of play and impressive off the ball running which paved the way for three clinically taken goals.

St Brigids started brightly to open the scoring through corner forward Keith Morris. St Brigids soon raced into an unassailable lead when some well taken scores.  Brian Murphy, Keith Morris and Any Kavanagh pointing after fine work in midfield from Ciaran Byrne and Ian Craven. Brian Murphy followed these scores up with a well taken goal following good work by Conor Hayes. This left St Brigids 1-4 to no score up.

However Croi Ro Naofa came quickly back into the game with a pointed free. St Brigids finished the half the stronger with a Keith Morris goal and points from Brian Kevlehan and a great Ian Craven point for the hard working midfielder. Morris lobbing the keeper from distance after a miss hit kick-out

St Brigids started the second half as they finished the first when Ian Craven won the throw in and passed the ball to the on rushing John Dunning who craved open the Croi Ro Naofa defence & fed Brian Murphy who slotted the ball to the bottom left hand corner. Next a long delivery from Connor Morris into Andy Kavanagh set up a great move, which Brian Kevlehan finished in style. Croi Ro Naofa rallied scoring 1-2 on the trot but Brigids pulled away again with points from John Dunning, Neil Plunkett and Keith Morris (2). Throughout the game, St Brigids were solid with St Brigid's unearthing another 'Tiger' Hughes in the form of Gerry Hughes.
