St Brigids Junior C Footballers continued their rise through the Adult Football ranks as they clinched the League Title last week. The team in its third year of competitive football has done remarkably well winning 2 League Title's & being promoted for three successive years.

It has been a real squad effort with all twenty players contributing to the team's success this year. The year started off with a nine point victory of St Finian's but the team has vastly improved since then. Comfortable wins against Innisfails, St Pat's of Donabate followed by a very tough game against Round Towers of Clondalkin put the team in pole position at the top of the league table. Balinteer St John's were emerging as St Brigids main title contenders as they were matching St Brigids one hundred percent record but this soon ended when the lads defeated Balinteer 3-14 to 1-6. St Brigids pressed on concentrating on their own game defeating Fingallians & Croi Ro Naofa.

The league title race was always going to be decided when St Brigids would meet Whitehall who were emerging as their chief rival. The title decider was real hum dinger with St Brigids defeating Whitehall by four points. The team survived several tough encounters during the league campaign but showed great character and determination to defeat all opponents & retain their 100% League Record over a fourteen game league run. A special word of thanks to mentor's Chris Lynam, Keith O'Neill & team motivator Eammon Dunning for all efforts throughout the year.
