Senior Footballers Progress into Champo 4th Round defeating Fingallians - Sun, 22 Jul 2007

S t Brigids 2-19 Fingallians 0-10

Kevin Bonner gave an exhibition of full-foward play when kicking nine points from play as Brigid's outclassed Fingallians at Parnell Park in Saturday's Dublin SFC third round encounter.

Bonner hit five in the first half and four in the second and went within inches of adding a goal in the second period but his rocket from close range caught the outside of the post.Bonner's Dublin team-mate, Declan Lally, got both goal, the first came on 20 minutes while the likes of Johnny Noonan contributed to a strong Brigid's showing in attack.

Three minutes earlier Fingallians' energetic Paul Flynn went close but his shot came back off the butt of Paul Keane's post. Brigid's led 1-7 to 0-4 at half-time and despite some excellent points from Peter Lawless there was going to be no way back for the Swords men as Lally grabbed his second goal in the 48th minute after being set up by Bonner.
