Senior 2 Footballers Get Back to Winning Ways defeating Templeogue Syne St - Tue, 23 Oct 2007

St Brigids 2-8 Templeogue SS 0-11

The Senior 2 Footballers got their League Campaign back on track with a hard earned victory over Templeogue Syne Street. Trailing by three points at the break, the lads looked in trouble as their first half display lacked intensity. This was definitely not the case in the 2nd half as up stepped Warren Finnegan to turn the game on its head in the opening ten minutes of the 2nd half. Finnegan pointing within minutes of the restart. Finnegan then won a high ball into the full forward line and was going away from goal but still found the accurcy to fire into the top right hand corner. A great goal. Finnegan then scored a superb free from the right wing near the side line, all of fifty yards out. The lads never looked back and deservely took the points. Enday Lynch, Cillian McCann & Dave Fitz were very good at the back.

The Senior 2's have five league games remaining due to several of their games being postponed with their involvement in the latter stages of the Championship.
