Minor Footballers Reach Leinster Final defeating Louth Champions St Geraldines - Sun, 23 Dec 2007

Well done to our Minor County Champions who progressed to the Leinster Final on Saturday. A large sea of red & red travelled to Carlow to witness a superb display against the Louth Champions St Geraldines. It was quite a performance yielding six goals in total. The game started at lightning pace with the clinical finishing of the Brigids forwards giving them the upper hand. Three goals in the opening fifteen minutes laid the foundations for a real team performance. Loading by nine points at the break, the lads never let up and played right to the end adding another three goals in the closing fifteen minutes.

They will now face Meath Champions Donaghmore Ashbourne in the Final. Donaghmore beat a fancied Portlaoise side in the ither semi-final so a tough game is in store. The final will take place in early January will the date to be confirmed.
