Junior A Footballers Home In on Sheridan Cup Semi-Final Spot defeating O'Tooles - Tue, 1 Apr 2008

The Junior A Footballers rise up through the ranks continued with a win over O'Tooles in Blunden Drive. A hat-trick of goals in the opening fifteen minutes by Keith Morris & Donal Fahy put this Sheridan Cup out of reach of O'Tooles. Playing into a gale, the lads built up an half time lead of nine points, 4-4 to 0-3. Keith Fox & John Dunning were to the fore around midfield and veteran midfielder Ian Craven chipped in with two points.

The half time break gave the management time ton introduce five subs and their introduction were immediate with all five subs scoring in the 2nd half. Alan English used his pace to good effect when rounding his man to point. Brian Murphy chipping in with 1-1 from full forward with Dec Barron also pointing. This win puts the lads in pole position along with Erin's Isle to qualify for the semi-final's. Both sides on 9 pts out of ten with the nearest challenger on six points.
