Junior B Hurlers defeat Scoil Ui Chonail to Gain 2nd Away League Victory - Tue, 15 Apr 2008

St Brigids 1-12 Scoil Ui Chonail 2-6

The Junior B Hurlers continued their impressive early league form with a fine win over Scoil Ui Chonail in Clontarf. Wing forward Brendan Roche the star of the show bagging 1-6. In what was a very physical game, the lads kept their discipline and were always in control in the second half once they went in at the break leading 1-5 to 0-4. Several players made their comeback with Andy Kavanagh performing very well in corner-back after an absence of two years. Conor Hayes also made his return turning in a fine display from wing forward. Veteran Noel Kidd led by example at full forward contributing 0-2. Minor Hurler Dylan Casey made his debut and improved with every touch of the sliotar. Captain William Corbett and John Dunning were also to the fore covering some amount of ground on the heavy pitch. Well done to the lads and keep up the good work.
