A strong second half showing from St Brigids proved the decisive factor in this game. The game was in the balance with twenty minutes to go as Brigids led 0-4 to 0-3. Ballymun couldn't break down the Brigids defence with Mick McGovern covering some amount of ground on Ballymun's most potent threat. Vinnie Bruen was marshalling the defence very well from full back. Seamus McCarthy was very safe in goals with his kickout's impressive.

Ballymun were to pay for wasting their period of dominance as John Dalton found the back of the net as some fine play down the right wing with Conor Clavin finding the mazy Mick Cousins who fed Peter Mulgrew who found Dalton who dummied the keeper to finish to the net. Mick Cousins soon followed up to five successive frees to put the game to bed. Well done to the lads on their first league win and good luck on Saturday as they travel to Balgriffin to face Innisfails.
