Junior A Footballers beat in Innisfails in Conlon Cup Clash in Russell Pk - Wed, 28 Mar 2012

St Brigids Junior A's recorded a deserved win in the Conlon Cup against Innisfails in a blistering hot Russell Park on Sunday morning. The home side started well with Philip Fizzy Carroll on hand to score 1-2 inside the first 10 minutes. Moments later, Alan Waters latched onto a great Declan Barron pass to add a second goal leaving Brigids 2-05 to 0-04 ahead at half-time.

Barry O'Donnell and Conor Hanley did well in defence to restrict the Inisfails attack and when the Balgriffin men did edged closer to the home side, points from Brian Donovan and Eoin O'Sullivan (2) ensured a 2-11 to 0-10 victory for Cormac Kelly troops.
