Adult Hurlers enjoy great weekend in Ballinskellings County Kerry

The Adult Hurlers of the Club travelled to Ballinskellings County Kerry for St Patricks Weekend. A group of thirty-one travelled to the beautiful town of Ballinskellings situated on the tip of Ireland. The lads flew down on St Patricks Day and played a friendly against Kerry Championship Runners-up Abbeydorney. This was the 1st time that the locals of Ballinskellings saw a hurling game in the flesh. They thoroughly enjoyed the occasion and St Brigids are very grateful to the locals for making us feel so welcome. A great weekend was had by all. A big thank you to Fintan O'Sullivan for organising the trip. Local man Maurice Curran aged 90 threw the sliotar in to mark the first game of Hurling ever played on the St Michael's Foylemore Pitch.
