Junior 1 Footballers go down narrowly to Erins Isle - Mon, 16 Jan 2006

Hard Luck to the Junior 1 Footballers who narrowly lost to Erins Isle in the Promotion Play-off Final. The lads never really got going in the terrible conditions.

Erins Isle 1-7 St Brigids 1-3

Playing against a strong breeze in the opening half, the Junior Footballers trailed by 5 points at the breaks after missing several scorable opportunites. Five points wasn't a massive gap considering the strong wind at the backs in the second half. The Introduction of Kevin Donovan got the forwards going but the killer blow came when Erins Isle found the back on the net midway through the half. The lads tried hard to fight back but just couldn't  get going & never reached the height's that they played to during the year
