Junior 2 Footballers defeat Bank Of Ireland to Reach Promotion Final - Tue, 24 Jan 2006

St Brigids showed some fine finishing to win out this match as it was hard fought affair throughout. A physically hard hitting game from the offset but the superior speed & fitness of the lads won through. 

The Bank led from early on leading by 0-2 to 0-1 after fifteen minutes. Scores from Willa Corbett & Paul Whitty left St Brigids with a slender one point lead at the break. The second half proved differnet with Corbett & Whitty finding the net & sub David O'Connor sealing the victory with a well taken point. 

Willa Corbett & Paul Whitty impressed through-out and the lads now turn their attention to the Final with the "Beard" keeping the lads well honed in on their target of Promotion to Junior 1. They are going for their 4th League promotion in as many years. They await the winners of the Whitehall & St Peregrines Semi-Final which ended in a draw. Best of Luck in the Final.
